# Site analytics

> See how many people visit your published site, which pages they read, where they came from, and their countries and devices.

**Analytics** shows who visits your published site. Visits are counted without cookies or scripts, so your visitors see no cookie banner and nobody is followed from one day to the next. Bots and link previews are left out.

There is nothing to set up: counting starts the moment a file is published.

## Open it

Open **Deck settings** (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>,</kbd>) in the published file and choose **Analytics**. Until the file is published, it says **Publish this file to see who visits it.**

## What you see

At the top:

- **Visitors:** how many people came.
- **Page views:** how many pages they opened.

On Pro you also get:

- a chart of page views for each day (point at a day to see its views and visitors);
- **Pages:** the pages people read, most read first;
- **Came from:** the sites that sent them, or **Direct or unknown**;
- **Countries**;
- **Devices:** **Phone**, **Tablet** or **Computer**.

On Pro, choose the period at the top: **7 days**, **30 days** or **90 days**. Free shows the last 7 days' totals, with a note on what Pro adds.

## What each plan shows

| What | Free | Pro |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Visitors and page views | Last 7 days | 7, 30 or 90 days |
| Each day, pages, sources, countries, devices | No | Yes |

## Catches

- **Visitors are counted day by day.** Someone who comes back tomorrow counts as a visitor again, since nobody is followed between days.
- **Numbers from before you published** do not exist; counting starts with the first publish.
- **If the numbers do not load,** check your connection and open the tab again.
