# Invite people to uxdeck

> Invite friends and colleagues to sign up for uxdeck, by email or with your own invite link.

Inviting someone to uxdeck is different from sharing a file. It asks them to make their own free account, with nothing of yours attached. Use it to bring a colleague or a friend in. To work on a particular file with someone, [share the file](/guide/share) instead.

## Send an invitation

1. Open your account menu (your face, top right) and choose **Invite people**.
2. Type one or more email addresses, separated by commas.
3. Press send.

They get an email from uxdeck with your name on it. Signing up is free.

## Your invite link

Under **Your invite link**, press copy to get a link that is yours. Anyone who signs up with it joins through you. No email is sent: post it wherever you like.

## Limits

- You can send **5 invitations a week**. The count shows under the field, and says when more become available.
- One send takes up to **10 addresses**.
- Your link works whatever is left of your week.

## Follow and withdraw

The people you invite are listed below the link, with when you invited them, or **Joined** once they have signed up. To take back an invitation that has not been used, press **Withdraw** beside it. uxdeck asks first.

## Catches

- **Withdrawing does not give the invitation back.** It still counts toward your week.
- **Everyone is shown as invited.** uxdeck never says whether an address already has an account.
- **An address is emailed only once in a while,** whoever invites it, so people are not flooded with invitations.
