# uxdeck on your phone

> Open your files on a phone to look, comment, share, publish and play prototypes, and start a new file from an idea.

On a phone, uxdeck is a companion to your computer. You can open any file to look at it, comment, share it, publish it and play its prototypes. Drawing and editing happen on a tablet or a computer: a screen 768 pixels wide or more gets the full editor.

The phone is also a good place to start something. Describe an idea and the agent draws a first version of the file while your phone is in your pocket.

## Add uxdeck to your Home Screen

uxdeck works in the phone's browser, and it is nicer as an app:

- **iPhone and iPad:** in Safari, press Share, then **Add to Home Screen**.
- **Android:** in Chrome or Edge, open the browser menu and install the app.

On an iPhone, notifications only work from the Home Screen app. See [Notifications](/guide/notifications).

## Find your files

Home on the phone has **Recents**, **All files**, **Archive** and **Trash**, your starred files, your folders and your teams. Search finds a file by name. Pull down to refresh.

## In a file

- Pinch and drag to move around the canvas.
- Open comments from the comment button to read, reply and add your own. See [Comments](/guide/comments).
- The file's menu has **Invite…** to [share it](/guide/share), **File settings…** for its name, site, icons, domain and fonts, and **Go to Home**.
- The owner can **Publish** from the bar at the top.

## Play a prototype

Press **Play prototype**. Tap through it as your visitors would. To leave, or to jump to another flow or screen, press and hold with two fingers: a sheet opens with **Screens** and the prototype's options, such as hotspot hints, and **Flows** when the file has more than one.

## Make a file from an idea

1. On Home, under **Describe your idea and make it come to life**, type what you want.
2. Add up to 5 pictures if they help. Pictures use more credits.
3. Press **Make a file**.

The agent draws it on the uxdeck server, so you can lock your phone and it keeps going. One idea draws at a time; up to 3 more wait in line and start by themselves. You can stop the one drawing or cancel one waiting. It uses your [agent credits](/guide/agent-credits).

## Open on your computer

On your computer, turn on **Settings**, **Profile**, **Open from your phone**. When your phone has no files yet, Home offers **Open on your computer**: press it and a notification on your computer opens uxdeck there, ready to draw.

## Catches

- **No editing on a phone.** Use a tablet or a computer to draw and change layers.
- **A long idea has a limit.** The agent draws what it can within its steps, then stops and shows you the result.
- **Your phone needs a connection** to make files and to post comments.
