# Settings

> Find your way around Settings, from the file's own settings to your profile, preferences, voice, AI tools, usage and plans.

Settings holds three kinds of choices: those for the file you have open, those for you, and those for a workspace (your Personal space or a team). Open your own settings from the account menu with **Settings**, or from the workspace switcher on Home; open the file's with **Deck settings** in the file menu (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>,</kbd>).

Use the search field at the top to jump to any setting by name, or by the words you would use for it, such as "theme" or "password".

## The file's settings

Open them with **Deck settings** in the file menu (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>,</kbd>). Settings shows either the file's tabs or your own; the link at the foot of the list switches between them.

| **General** | Name, description, colour, folder, versions, archive, **Muted rules** and the danger zone. |
| **Sharing** | Who can open the file and the link. See [Share a file](/guide/share). |
| **Export** | Code, PNG and SVG. See [Export code, PNG and SVG](/guide/export). |
| **Site** | Title, description, icons, social preview, search engines and password for the published site. See [Site settings](/guide/site-settings). |
| **Domain** | The site on your own address. See [Your own domain](/guide/domain). |
| **Analytics** | Who visits the site. See [Site analytics](/guide/analytics). |

## Your own settings

Under **Personal**:

| Tab | What is there |
|---|---|
| **Profile** | Picture, name, sign-in methods, Open from your phone, notifications, sign out, delete account. |
| **Preferences** | **Appearance** (dark, light or your system's), **Names in the panels**, **When the coach speaks**, and the canvas switches. |
| **Voice** | Microphone, speaker, push to talk, call sounds and call notifications. See [Voice calls](/guide/voice). |
| **AI** | Tokens and connectors for AI tools. See [Connect an AI tool](/guide/mcp). |
| **Usage** | Agent credits used this month and today, and image storage. |
| **Plans** | Free and Pro side by side. See [Free and Pro](/guide/plans). |
| **Billing** | Your subscription, card and invoices, once you pay. |
| **Seats** | People editing your files on one of your seats. See [Seats and editors](/guide/seats). |
| **Shortcuts** | Every keyboard shortcut. |

## Preferences in detail

- **Appearance:** dark, light, or follow your system.
- **Names in the panels:** designer names, or the CSS each control writes. Designer names still show the CSS on hover.
- **When the coach speaks:** **Hybrid** or **On ask**. See [The UX coach](/guide/coach).
- **Rulers** (<kbd>⇧</kbd><kbd>R</kbd>), **Pixel grid** (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>'</kbd>, from 400% zoom), **Layout grids** (<kbd>⇧</kbd><kbd>G</kbd>) and **Outlines** (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>Y</kbd>).

## A workspace's settings

Under **Workspace**, for the workspace picked beside its name:

- **General:** logo, name, description and, for a team, its permissions, **Leave team** and **Delete team**.
- **Members:** who is in the team and their roles.
- **Agent credits:** the team's pool and limits.
- **Fonts:** typefaces uploaded once, used in every file of the workspace.

## Catches

- **The file's tabs only show from a file.** From Home, Settings opens on your own tabs.
- **Some tabs appear only when they apply,** such as **Seats** or a team's tabs.
- **Settings search only finds tabs on offer.** Search from a file to find the file's settings.
