Latest

Pro is open, and a changelog page

Anyone can upgrade to Pro from Settings, and every release now has a page of its own on uxdeck.app, with each date beside its changes.

  • NewUpgrade to Pro from Settings, Plans, monthly or yearly. Your invoices are in Billing, ready to download, and Manage billing changes your card, your plan or cancels.
  • NewThe changelog has its own page on uxdeck.app. Changelog on Home opens it in a new tab, and the footer of every public page links to it.
  • ImprovedSigned in, the Pricing page shows your plan: on Pro, its button reads Manage billing.
  • ImprovedYour account menu has a link to the uxdeck website, on a computer and on a phone.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, the Guide’s Topics sit beside the logo at the top, a tap away on every page.

A 3D ring anyone can turn

The 3D ring Block has buttons to turn it a card at a time, and a ring that spins on its own can be paused, so everyone visiting your site can use it, not only people who can drag.

  • NewA new 3D ring comes with Previous and Next buttons in its corners that turn it a card at a time, the same as the arrow keys. Restyle or move them like any other layer.
  • NewA ring set to spin on its own shows a Pause button, which reads Play once pressed. The spin also rests while someone points at the ring or moves through it with the keyboard.
  • ImprovedThe dots under new carousels sit a little further apart, so each one is easier to tap on a phone.
  • ImprovedOn the Free plan, a day of agent credits goes about twice as far.
  • FixedWhen your credits are nearly used, the agent says so before it starts, instead of stopping halfway through a change it cannot finish.
  • FixedA reply that reaches its length limit partway through a change says so plainly, and asking the agent to continue picks it up.
  • FixedThe agent panel says how many of today’s credits are left, not only a number.

A text cylinder, Bulge and Slices

Three new ways to move big type: lines of text around a cylinder that the page turns as people scroll, Bulge, words or a picture that swell towards you under the pointer, and Slices, a word cut into strips that come together as it scrolls in.

  • NewText while scrolling, split by word or letter, has more to choose: which piece goes first (from the centre, the end, at random), letters parting from the middle or scattering from all round, letters turning round a point behind them, and each word or letter sliding out of its own box from a side.
  • NewSlices, in While scrolling: a line of text is cut into slices that come together as it scrolls into view. Six looks: the words come together, slide in from the side, fan into place, stretch into place, zigzag together or shift into line. Choose how many slices, their order, and whether the words move inside the slices or the slices move whole. It plays in Preview and on your site, and screen readers read the words once.
  • NewBulge, in Effects: a text or a picture swells towards you where the pointer is, like a lit dome that follows it a little behind, and settles back as it leaves. Choose its size, how much it swells, its light and how closely it follows. It plays on hover, as it appears, all the time or with the scroll, in Preview and on your site, and the words stay readable for screen readers.
  • FixedThe box around a selected layer stays on it when the view moves quickly, instead of being left where the layer was until your next click.
  • FixedThe coach remembers what you dismiss in each file, on this computer, after a reload too. Not now sets a finding aside for a minute.
  • FixedDragging a link onto a screen that sits in a section makes the prototype go to that screen, instead of scrolling to it.
  • FixedChange to, chosen on a variant, starts on another variant of the set rather than the one you are on.
  • FixedResize to fit works on auto layout frames, which hug their content both ways.
  • FixedTidy up and Space across say why they cannot act: fewer than two layers, a locked layer, layers in different frames, or layers placed by auto layout.
  • FixedSelection colours leave out the colour of a text whose fill is hidden.
  • FixedAn accordion tells you when one of its items has lost its header or its panel, even while the others still have theirs.
  • FixedMaking someone an editor from Who has access asks about their seat first, also when they came in through the link without asking.
  • FixedThe Logo strip's Pause button reads Play once pressed, in Preview and on your site.
  • ImprovedEvery choice in the Design and Prototype panels, in Preview and in the colour picker opens uxdeck's own list, the same on a computer and a phone, and the arrow keys still step through the choices.
  • NewThe Text cylinder, in Blocks: lines of large text stand around a cylinder on its side, and scrolling turns it so they roll up over the top and away while it holds its place. Choose how long it holds, how far it turns and where it starts, how wide the text is, the radius and the perspective. It stays a plain list while you write it, turns in Preview and on your site, and stays a list for people who ask for less motion.

A showreel hero, a media grid and Curtain

Two new Blocks for portfolio pages, a hero that plays through your projects and a grid of pictures and videos that packs itself to any width, and Curtain, a new way to change screen in prototypes.

  • FixedBefore a site goes public, Publish no longer calls text hard to read when it is not: it looks at the page as it is laid out on your canvas, and leaves out hidden layers and layers their frame cuts off, such as names waiting off the edge of a marquee.
  • FixedIn an auto layout that wraps, layers set to fill keep their width and move to the next line when the row is full, on the canvas and on your site, instead of shrinking side by side.
  • NewThe Showreel hero, in Blocks: your projects one at a time, each over a full picture or video, their words rising in line by line. It changes with a fade, a zoom, a blur or a wipe, plays on its own with a progress line and a counter, and can be paused, stepped through with its buttons, the arrow keys or a swipe, and, if you like, the mouse wheel. Its videos play only while their project is shown.
  • NewThe Media grid, in Blocks: pictures and videos in tiles of different sizes, packed together tightly at any width and in two columns on a phone. Make a tile wider or taller and it takes more of the grid. Videos play while on screen, on hover or always, and the tiles can rise in as they arrive. Add many pictures at once.
  • ImprovedBoth new Blocks fill the width they are given: in a frame with auto layout they fill it, and in any other frame they span it from edge to edge and stretch with it.
  • NewCurtain, a new prototype animation for Navigate to and Back: a panel of one colour comes over the screen you leave and moves on to uncover the next, both screens drifting along with it. Choose the way it travels, its colour, its easing and how long it takes. It plays in Preview and between the pages of your published site.
  • ImprovedThe prototype animation that moves and resizes the layers two screens or two variants share is now called Match layers.
  • FixedIn the Prototype tab, changing one setting right after another keeps both: ticking Scramble’s cursor and then typing a colour no longer undid the cursor.
  • FixedScreens copied and pasted together keep their prototype links: a button in the copy goes to the copy of its screen.
  • NewA picture can hold a video: choose Video in its Fill. A picture in the Showreel hero or a tile of the Media grid becomes a video in place.
  • ImprovedA picture or video pasted while an empty picture is selected goes into it, at its size.
  • FixedBlocks placed in a file whose buttons are pills keep rounded cards and slides instead of turning into circles.
  • FixedA custom cursor sits on the pointer on a published page wider than its design.
  • FixedDragging a carousel, a 3D ring or a Showreel hero no longer drags a picture out of it.

A 3D ring, formations, scramble and reveals

A new Block, the 3D ring; Scramble in Effects; and new looks for While scrolling: formations, a picture that opens from a corner, and words that light up as they are read.

  • NewScramble, in Effects: each letter of a text flickers through random characters before landing on its own, like a terminal. It plays on hover, as the text comes into view (typing itself in), or both. Choose the characters it draws from, how many each letter shows, a cursor block, the colours it flickers in and how fast.
  • NewFormations, in While scrolling, for a frame holding other layers: its pictures fly into place one after another while the page holds it. Six looks to start from: Rise into place, Fan up from the centre, Gather from all round, Fall in, tipped back, Pop in from the edges and Swing in like doors. Set the order they come in, how they overlap, where each one starts, how much each varies and the point they turn about.
  • ImprovedWhen a layer held while scrolling needs more room than its screen has, the Prototype tab says so, and Make room gives the screen the height it needs.
  • NewThe 3D ring, in Blocks: cards standing round a circle in depth that the page’s scroll turns, that visitors can drag round or turn with the arrow keys, and that can spin on its own. Its cards are ordinary layers, laid flat while you edit, with pictures you add in one go. Set its radius, perspective, how far it turns, its tilt, light, lean and spin.
  • NewReveal from a corner and Reveal from the centre, in While scrolling: a picture opens as it comes into view. Every motion state can now hide part of a layer from each side, so a reveal can open from any corner or edge, on scroll, on appear, on hover or in a loop.
  • NewLight up words as read, in While scrolling, for text: the words go from dim to their own one after another as the paragraph comes in. Split text and Spread set how it moves, by line, word or letter.
  • ImprovedWhile scrolling has its own Easing, so a scroll motion can ease out instead of moving evenly.

Carousels that fill their space

Carousels stretch with their pictures, Blocks stand out in Layers, and the teams one person owns share their agent credits.

  • FixedA Carousel set to fill its frame, resized, or given a height now carries its slides and pictures with it on the canvas, instead of leaving an empty band beside them. A Carousel already stretched in your file mends itself the next time it is resized.
  • ImprovedBlocks have their own icon in Layers, so a Carousel, an Accordion or a Notice reads apart from a plain frame.
  • ImprovedThe Blocks library closes when you click outside it, and stays open while you place Blocks on the canvas.
  • ImprovedThe Prototype tab shows the version of Scrollwork, the motion engine, that plays your file.
  • ImprovedOn Free, Voice shows what calls in your files are and which plans have them, and Publish says Free keeps one site online with a small badge.
  • ImprovedA Notice in the Design tab says plainly how it is pinned, with a button to move it into its screen, shows what closes it, and sets its cookie warning apart.
  • ImprovedA missed call shows Call back only while the person who called is in that file and a call can go through. Otherwise the row opens the file.
  • FixedA comment’s thread in notifications opens beside its row and stays open while you move to it to reply, instead of closing as you pass another notification.
  • FixedA team’s files keep every version, whoever in the team made them.
  • NewAnalytics for your published site, in Deck settings: visitors, page views, each day, the pages people read, where they came from, their countries and devices, over up to 90 days on Pro. Free shows the last 7 days’ totals. Counted without cookies, so your visitors see no banner.
  • NewSeat notices: a team owner hears in the bell and by email when someone takes one of its seats, and people get an email when they are made an editor or a viewer in a team, or when their seat is given back.
  • NewSeats: on Pro, someone who is not on Pro takes one of your seats to edit your files or your team’s, after you say yes. See and give back seats in Settings, Seats. Viewers stay free and can comment, and editing a Free owner’s files is unchanged.
  • ImprovedTeams are part of Pro: any Pro account can create a team, each editor in it is a Pro seat, and viewers stay free.
  • ImprovedFree now keeps 30 days of version history.
  • ImprovedSettings opens from your account menu, on Home and in every file.
  • ImprovedOn Free, Voice settings show only when you are in a team, whose files you can talk in.
  • NewSelect several files in Trash or Archive and restore them all at once, or delete them permanently together.
  • NewA tab’s menu can close other tabs, or every tab to its left or right, with Undo.
  • ImprovedThe box on Home suggests a new idea every few seconds while it is empty.
  • ImprovedPractice briefs and grades are gone: the coach in every file is where uxdeck reviews your work. Files you started from a brief stay as ordinary files. On Free, a file brought back from the trash counts toward your 3 again.
  • ImprovedFree’s 100 coding agent calls a week are counted on your account, the same on every computer.
  • ImprovedPlans has a Monthly and Yearly switch, shows what a year costs, and lists what each plan really includes: published sites, custom domains, uploaded fonts and the daily agent allowance on Free.
  • FixedPublishing a site past your plan’s number of live sites now says how many it allows and what to do, instead of saying publishing is not on your plan.
  • ImprovedSpacing for several layers works by command: in the right panel, type a gap and choose Space across or Space down to set them that far apart in the order they stand, or Tidy up to line them up in rows and columns. Moving one layer no longer moves the others.
  • ImprovedAgent credits: the teams one person owns share ten seats’ worth of credits each month, given to their oldest teams first. The Agent credits page shows how many of a team’s seats add credits, and a team without any uses each person’s own credits on its files.

Notifications on your devices

Comments, invitations and finished decks can reach your phone or computer as notifications, and teams tidy up after themselves.

  • ImprovedConnecting your own domain to a published site now asks for one more DNS record, a TXT record that proves the address is yours, so nobody else can connect it. Domains already connected keep working.
  • ImprovedDeleting your account: files you made in other people's teams stay with those teams. If you own a team that has other members, you are asked to hand it over or delete it first.
  • ImprovedTeam invitations and invite links work for 30 days. Share team always gives you a link that works.
  • ImprovedIn a team, members' email addresses are shown to the Owner and Admins only.
  • ImprovedSigning out removes the copies of shared files kept on that computer, their pictures included.
  • ImprovedPairing Claude Code with the editor is safer. If another program on your computer tries to pair, the editor shows Pairing blocked.
  • FixedThe play button on a layer now plays Letter roll and Fill wipe right on the canvas, as it already did for the other effects.
  • ImprovedEffects: switch a layer's effect by picking from small previews of each one. The Effects library closes when you click elsewhere.
  • ImprovedDouble-click a picture that has an effect to open its effects.
  • FixedExports keep pictures taken from another site. When one cannot be included, you are told why once the download is done.
  • ImprovedThe Contact form has a quick check that you are a person.
  • NewNotifications on this device: turn it on in Settings, under Notifications, and comments, mentions, invitations to files and teams, access given to you, files and teams handed to you and decks the agent finished arrive as notifications on your phone or computer. Tap one to open the file or the comment, and use Send a test to check it works. On an iPhone or iPad, add uxdeck to your Home Screen first.
  • NewWhen someone changes your role, on a file or in a team, you are told in your notifications, and on your devices if you turned them on, even if you did not have the file open.
  • FixedPixel distortion plays from the play button on the canvas, and in Preview when it is set to play Always or With scroll speed: the picture moves on its own, and follows the pointer whenever it passes over it, even over words laid on the picture.
  • NewPixel distortion has a third look, Mosaic: a few large tiles, next to Blocks and Liquid.
  • ImprovedThe Effects library shows each effect once, in its own section.
  • NewPixel distortion, a new effect for pictures: as the pointer moves across, the picture breaks into cells that follow it, then settle back. Choose Blocks for big cells or Liquid for a fine smear. It plays in Preview and on your published site.
  • ImprovedLetter roll and Fill wipe say they need no Hover variant, and warn when the button also changes to another variant on hover, which would stop them playing.
  • ImprovedSelect a button built as a frame and the effects on what is inside it, like a Letter roll on its label, show in its Prototype tab, ready to change.
  • FixedRenaming a variant in the layers list, Hover to Hovering for example, now renames its value too, and the interactions and instances that pointed at it follow.
  • ImprovedThe colour swatches of an effect (Dither, Fill wipe) open the colour picker.
  • ImprovedSelect several layers and change the effects they share in one go, in the Prototype tab: a Letter roll on every button label, for example, set once.
  • ImprovedRemoving an effect is one click now, without a question first: Undo brings it back.
  • ImprovedThe Effects library dims the effects your selection cannot take, such as Fill wipe on a text, and says where each one goes.
  • FixedA frame inside a section can start a flow from the Prototype tab. A section itself no longer offers to start one: it holds your screens, and its Prototype tab lists the page's flows instead.
  • FixedRenaming or removing a property of a component now updates its instances on every page, not only the page you are on.
  • ImprovedDeleting a component that has instances asks first, and says how many there are and on which pages. They keep their look, and you can undo it.
  • NewTeams: make a team space, invite people as admins, editors or viewers, share files and folders in it, and keep a shared Trash. A deleted team can be restored for 28 days; after that each of its files goes back to its owner, in their Trash, so nothing is lost.
  • FixedOn your phone, choosing who can use a file's link (anyone can edit, anyone can view or only you) opens above the Invite panel and keeps it open once you choose, instead of hiding behind it.

Make a file from your phone

Describe an idea on your phone and the agent draws it in a new file, even with your phone locked.

  • NewDescribe your idea on your phone and the agent draws it in a new file right away, in your files or your team's. You can lock your phone or leave the page: it keeps going, and you can watch the file fill in or stop it when you like. This replaces sending the idea to your computer.
  • NewSend more ideas while one is being drawn: up to three wait in line and start one after another on their own, and you can cancel any that has not started.
  • NewWatch the agent draw: while it works, the canvas keeps what it is drawing in view, on your phone and on your computer. Open a file the agent is drawing from your phone and the Agent tab follows what it does, with a button to stop it.
  • ImprovedThe agent can now use every motion effect: colour flash on titles, sections that tip back as you scroll, marquees with soft edges, rings of pictures that stay upright, a loader with a flipbook of pictures and a custom cursor. Ask for one and it builds it into your design.
  • ImprovedWhile the agent works, the screen it is building shimmers on the canvas, so you can see which one it is on as it goes back and forth.
  • NewWhen the agent draws screens, it names a flow for them, so the prototype is ready to play from Preview.
  • NewStep through every screen of a prototype on your phone, even screens nothing links to yet, or jump to one from the options.
  • FixedA new screen from the agent no longer lands on top of one already there.
  • ImprovedColour ramps and type scales the agent makes go together in a Style guide section beside your screens, so the canvas stays tidy. The Style guide is not part of your prototype: it never plays in Preview and is never published.
  • NewLeave any section out of your prototype, such as wireframes or an archive: turn off Part of the prototype in the section's Layout, and its frames stay out of Preview, flows, exports and your site.
  • ImprovedOn your phone, each frame has its play button again: tap it to play the prototype from that frame.
  • ImprovedAccordions, dropdowns, menus, switches and tab bars you build from variants work with a keyboard in Preview, on your published site and in exports: press Enter to open, close or switch one and you stay where you were, and screen readers say whether it is open, on or the current one. A link to the screen you are on is announced as the current page.
  • NewThe React export now plays a click that changes a component's variant: an accordion opens and a switch flips in the code you download, as it does in Preview.
  • NewBlocks: ready made, working components you add from the new Blocks button in the toolbar. Drag one onto the canvas or into a frame and it arrives in your file's own colours and type, with its settings in the Design tab. They work in Preview, on your published site and in the React export.
  • NewThe first Blocks are a Carousel and a Picture carousel: slides that move with arrows, dots, a swipe or on their own, one to four at a time, with as many slides as you like. Visitors can pause them, and they work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • NewAdd your own pictures to a carousel from its settings, and let them move in depth as the slides go by, from subtle to strong.
  • NewAn Accordion and an FAQ list: questions that open to their answers, one at a time or several, with the one open first of your choosing. They work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • NewA Notice and a Banner: a message that comes in at a corner or across the top of the window after a moment, closes with its buttons or Escape, can leave on its own after a few seconds, and stays closed for a visitor once they close it. They work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • NewThe agent can add Blocks to your screens: ask for a carousel, an FAQ or a notice and it places a working one in your colours and type, writes its words and sets it up.
  • NewSix more Blocks: Testimonials, Products, a Logo strip that passes on its own, Details, Steps and a Promo notice. Twelve in all, each working in Preview, on your site and in the exports.
  • NewHover effects for buttons: Letter roll, where the words roll out letter by letter as a copy rolls in, and Fill wipe, where a colour sweeps across the button. Put one on a button, or on every button of a page at once. They play in Preview and on your published site, with the keyboard too.
  • FixedA carousel added to a screen with auto layout now shows the number of slides at once you asked for on the canvas.
  • NewBlocks are built with auto layout and follow your breakpoints: show three slides at once on a computer and one on a phone, and the published site switches with the width.
  • NewTabs you build from variants, a row of tabs and the content that changes with them, become real tabs in Preview, on your published site and in the React export: the arrow keys move between them and screen readers announce each tab and its content.
  • NewAdd up to five pictures to your idea on Home, on your computer or your phone: screenshots of a design or components, and the agent builds from them. Paste or drop them on your computer, or send pictures alone. Pictures use more credits.

Your site at a glance, and toasts that fit the phone

Site settings and Publish show the same link card, the file's thumbnail stays out of the pages, and messages read well on a phone.

  • FixedDuplicate works for a file you made or imported on another device: the copy is made from your account, even if this browser has never opened the file.
  • FixedPreview plays the motion inside a screen whose page scrolls in a frame of its own, the way Figma files are often built: appears, pins and scroll effects now run as you scroll that frame.
  • FixedA loader covers the whole window on a published site, whatever its size, and in Preview it covers your fixed header and banners too.
  • ImprovedAny frame that ignores auto layout can be made the Loader, and it moves to the top of its screen so nothing shows over it.
  • ImprovedScale out while held keeps the section whole until it is almost covered, then fades it out, so no part of an earlier section shows behind the next ones.
  • FixedA file you import with a cover shows that cover on Home straight away, on every device, without opening it first.
  • ImprovedImporting a file with many pictures is faster, and the upload shows how many pictures are in so far instead of waiting at the same percentage.
  • ImprovedOn Windows, scroll bars are slim and only show while you point at the area that scrolls.
  • NewA loader for your site: mark a section as the Loader and it covers the page as it opens, plays what appears inside it, holds for as long as you set and fades or blurs away while everything else waits. A Flipbook loop shows the pictures inside a frame one after another, for the burst of images loaders are known for.
  • NewA custom cursor: make any layer the page's cursor from the Prototype tab. It follows the pointer a little behind, can hide the usual arrow, blend with what is under it and grow over links. Preview plays it and so does your published site.
  • NewSections that tip back as you scroll past: While scrolling has a Scale out while held effect that pins a section for a screen and shrinks, tips and fades it while the next one slides over. Every motion state can now tip back, turn aside and set its perspective, and a scroll motion can run across the layer's own hold.
  • NewA spinning frame can keep the layers inside it level: tick Keep children upright under Loop and a ring of pictures orbits with every picture the right way up.
  • NewMarquees run on both axes: Loop offers Marquee to the left, to the right, up and down, each by half the layer at a steady pace. Fade edges lets the ends of the frame around a marquee fade out; drag the bands on the canvas or type the depth.
  • NewColour flash, a new Appear effect for text: each word lights up in a colour, passes through a second and settles on its own, word after word. Pick the two colours in the Prototype tab; the first starts as your file's accent.
  • ImprovedSite settings previews your site as a link card, the same one Publish shows: the tab icon, the title, the address and the description, with the dark icon when uxdeck is dark.
  • FixedA frame set as the file's thumbnail is its cover, not a page: it leaves the Pages list, is never the home page and is not published.
  • FixedOn a phone, a message at the bottom of the screen spans the width instead of wrapping one word per line.
  • ImprovedAdd from this computer, in Publish, shows a spinner while the fonts are read and the links wait with it, so a second press cannot ask the browser twice.
  • NewChoose your site's address: Deck settings > Site has an Address field, prefilled from your file's name, that tells you as you type whether the address is free. Set it before you publish, or move a live site to a new one later.
  • ImprovedPublishing carries on if you close the dialog: the tray at the bottom right shows each step and offers Open once the site is live, the same tray that shows your uploads on Home.
  • ImprovedAfter a publish, the dialog brings the site's address into view, and while a republish runs the footer keeps to its buttons.
  • FixedA file whose pictures do not fit in uxdeck says so right away, before or during its upload, instead of uploading without end. A file keeps up to 100 MB of your pictures.
  • FixedOn published sites, a Space between column no longer pulls a text or a hugging block up over the layer above it. Republish a site to pick this up.
  • ImprovedA published site goes offline with its file: delete it, move it to the trash or to the archive and the address stops answering. The dialog says so first, and a file brought back is published again when you choose.
  • NewOn a phone, pull Home down to refresh: your files, teams and workspace are read again from your account.
  • NewA Figma file with more layers than one file keeps now asks which pages to bring in, each with its weight, drafts and components left out by default. The other pages can come in later as another file.

Published sites as you designed them

Every page of a published site now looks like your canvas, on a computer and on a phone.

  • ImprovedRequest a feature lets you say what it is about, such as the canvas, motion, publishing or Figma import, so it reaches the right place faster.
  • ImprovedDrag pages in the Pages list to put them in order, as you drag layers. Hold Alt while you drag to duplicate a page.
  • ImprovedThe prompt on Home has a cleaner look on a computer, the same as on a phone, and lights up its border while you type.
  • FixedA local copy you open keeps its cover, its card colour and the coach rules you muted.
  • FixedPublished sites match your canvas more closely: a carousel that runs past its edge shows its cards all the way to the side of the screen, a frame whose content spills past it keeps its colour to its own size, a lone item in a Space between row sits where Figma placed it, and a cut-out picture's shadow follows its outline instead of a box.
  • FixedFigma files come in closer still: a bottom sheet laid over a list stays where it was designed, coloured words inside a text keep their colour, titles filled with several gradients keep them, line breaks made with Shift+Enter stay where they were, and cards sharing a row keep equal widths.
  • FixedTailwind exports of a phone screen scroll the whole page, as your published site does.
  • ImprovedPublish is easier to read: Site details, Before it goes public and Typefaces are three groups with their counts, each one folding; on a computer the coach's findings open in Review with the canvas beside them, and the verdict sits with the buttons.
  • ImprovedPublish shows where each finding is: the screens it names appear as small pictures and every layer is a link that takes you to it on the canvas.
  • FixedOn a phone, Home comes back to the workspace you were in after you leave its settings, instead of Personal.
  • FixedOn a phone, a long layer name in the Publish sheet wraps instead of pushing the sheet sideways, and the frame bar no longer offers a breakpoint the phone cannot add: open the file on a computer for that.
  • FixedPublished sites keep every page whole: a form or a page that runs past its screen in Figma now scrolls to its end on the site, and an announcement bar pinned to the top of a screen sits at the top and stays there while the page scrolls.
  • FixedFigma files keep more of their detail: a shape filled with a gradient keeps its gradient, a button whose stroke takes space in its layout keeps its icon at the right size, and a bold or italic word inside a text loads its own font on the published site.
  • FixedFigma files come in closer to the original: gradients on wide sections, soft glows, auto layout spacing at the bottom and right, layers following a colour or gradient style, and pictures masked by turned or flipped shapes.
  • NewEffects show on the canvas: a layer with Dither or Glitch shows the effect’s first frame as you design. Select it and press the play button at its top right to watch it move, and press again, or its effect label, to stop.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, a file’s More button opens the same menu as a right click on a computer: open, star, copy link, rename, duplicate, move to a folder or a team, archive and trash. Inside a file, tap its name for the same options.
  • ImprovedHome loads your files as you scroll, and their previews fade in as they arrive, on a computer and on a phone.
  • NewEffects are in the Prototype tab before you build anything: with nothing selected, drag Glitch or Dither onto the canvas and it arrives on a layer of its own, ready to play in Preview.
  • NewDeck settings has a Health card: how many screens, flows and components your deck holds, and what is worth fixing, such as links that lead nowhere, components nobody uses, empty pictures and missing fonts. Show takes you straight to them.
  • ImprovedA frame or a box on its own on the canvas shows its effects in the Prototype tab, so a Dither dropped on it can be tuned there.
  • NewText can take a stroke: give a title an outline in Stroke, and hide its fill for outlined letters. Outlined text from Figma arrives outlined, on your canvas, your published site and your code exports.
  • ImprovedReact and Tailwind exports keep tab bars, status bars and buttons in place while the page scrolls, as your published site does.
  • ImprovedA phone design shows whole on any phone, scaled to fit, and a desktop design without a phone version shows whole too instead of running off the side of the screen.
  • FixedBars and buttons beside a scrolling area (a tab bar, a status bar, a Continue button) stay in place while the page scrolls, as in your prototype, and keep to the bottom of shorter phones.
  • FixedA card that links somewhere and holds another link keeps its layout on the published site.
  • FixedLayers keep their order on published sites: navigation bars, overlays and decorations no longer slip under or over the wrong section.
  • FixedLayers with blend modes (a status bar that adapts to the page, a glow over a photo) look as they do on your canvas.
  • FixedA long page drawn on a screen with its content running below it keeps its background where you drew it.
  • FixedTwo layers with the same name no longer take each other’s size or place on a published page.
  • ImprovedA Figma file starts with stray pieces, page parts and UI kit boards left off its site, and a shape with nothing to paint no longer shows as an empty picture.

Open your Figma files

Bring a whole Figma file into uxdeck: its pages, components, variables and prototypes.

  • NewOpen a Figma file in uxdeck: in Figma choose Save local copy, then open or drop the .fig on Home. Its pages, sections, frames, auto layout, components, variants and their instances, pictures, variables, colour styles and prototype interactions and flows come with it, and it goes to your account like any other file.
  • NewComponents work across pages: keep them on a Components page and use them on any page. Every instance follows its component wherever it is, Assets places components from any page, and Go to main component takes you to its page and back.
  • NewText styles and effect styles: create one from a layer in the Design tab, apply it from the style row or from Assets, and every layer that uses it changes with it, on every page. Detach a layer, rename or delete a style whenever you like.
  • ImprovedA Figma file keeps its components linked across pages, its text and effect styles, and puts components from its libraries in an Imported components page of their own.
  • ImprovedAuto layout that wraps can have its own gap between rows.
  • NewFile settings on your phone: change a file’s name, its site’s title, description, icons and social picture, its domain and your workspace’s fonts, so a forgotten detail no longer waits for a computer. Publish takes you straight to what is missing and back.
  • FixedA file opened from your computer that shares its name with one you already have keeps the new name it was given, on Home and everywhere else.
  • FixedA frame or group with no fill casts its shadow from what is inside it, instead of around an empty box.
  • NewFonts in the Design tab lists the fonts in your file that not everyone can see: the ones missing on this device, and the ones only your computer has. Add a font from your computer to your workspace in one click, or upload its files, and everyone sees it.
  • ImprovedA font missing on a device shows in a stand-in sized like the real one, so lines break and frames keep their size until the font is added.
  • ImprovedPreview and Publish tell you when a font is not on this device, and Publish can add a font from your computer to your workspace.
  • FixedA change to a text or effect style made by someone else in the file reaches you right away.
  • NewChoose which screens are pages of your site and which one it opens on, in Site settings under Pages. A Figma file starts with its cover, component boards and drafts left off.
  • FixedEvery picture of a published site is part of the site, on every page, so none goes missing.
  • FixedA long page drawn in Figma as a screen with its content running below it, or inside a scrolling frame, publishes in full and scrolls like a page.
  • ImprovedA desktop screen laid out without auto layout publishes centred on wider screens.
  • FixedA navigation bar fixed at the top of a screen stays in front of the page on the published site.
  • ImprovedLarge photos are made web-sized when you publish, so sites load faster, and small icons travel inside the page.
  • FixedA published site no longer asks for a typeface that is not in your workspace, so visitors who have it installed see it.
  • FixedFigma files come in closer to the original: layers stacked with First on top, mirrored and rotated layers, masks, large photo fills, and number variables as you typed them.
  • FixedA copy of a file saved to your computer keeps its site settings and language.
  • ImprovedLarge Figma files open whole: each icon comes in as one picture instead of one per shape, so files with thousands of icons fit and open faster.
  • FixedA large file keeps its layers in their order once uploaded: sections no longer change places.
  • FixedFigma files come in closer still: layers with several fills (glows, gradients over a colour), auto layout with negative spacing, icons coloured by a colour style, photos in cards and turned videos.
  • ImprovedText styles are classes in the code of an exported or published page, so the type scale reads as it was designed.
  • ImprovedPublished sites are lighter: their pages share one stylesheet, loaded once.
  • ImprovedIf your site is ever taken down, you get an email saying why, and another when it is back online.
  • FixedA text aligned to the middle or bottom with words in different styles stays on one line.
  • FixedFigma files come in closer again: blurs as soft as in the original, inside strokes, text that follows a text style, and layers inside turned frames.
  • ImprovedLayers pinned with constraints (left and right, right, centre, scale) follow the window on a published page, so full-width sections stretch.
  • ImprovedLarge files with many interactive components publish about twice as fast.

Selection colors, Type settings, and resizing several layers at once

See every colour in what you selected and change it everywhere at once, set type precisely, and resize a group of layers from the selection box.

  • ImprovedPublishing shows each step on the button: preparing, compressing, uploading and going live.
  • NewVideos too large for a site, or in a format browsers do not play, are compressed into a web video for you when you publish.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, Publish is now the main button when you look at your own file, and Invite is in the file’s menu.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, describing an idea for your computer to make now happens in a simple chat-style box.
  • FixedAn image, SVG or text pasted from your computer lands next to the layer you selected, or into the frame you selected, instead of a frame you did not choose.
  • ImprovedThe Layers list scrolls sideways to show deeply nested layers and long names in full, with the eye and lock always at hand.
  • ImprovedRemove a gradient stop right from the bar: drag it off, up or down, or right-click it and choose Delete.
  • ImprovedReplace an image from its picker with Choose image, right on the preview.
  • NewA file with a thumbnail set shows it in its tab, next to the name.
  • ImprovedCollapse layers (⌥L) folds the whole Layers list when nothing is selected, and only what is inside your selection when something is.
  • ImprovedThe gradient picker is quicker to use: each stop’s colour and opacity can be typed in its row, and its swatch opens a colour picker beside the gradient.
  • FixedPasting or duplicating a layer shows it where it lands, at the same zoom, instead of jumping to the top of its frame.
  • NewSections: group your frames on the canvas by flow or by step. Draw one with the Section tool (Shift S) or in Insert, wrap a selection in one, drag frames in and out, name it, colour it and resize it to fit. Preview, prototypes and exports keep treating the frames inside as screens.
  • FixedVideos are kept when you save a local copy: a video fill or a video layer plays again when the copy is opened, on any computer.
  • ImprovedPreview opens on a loading screen that shows how far your prototype has come, and appears once its fonts and pictures are ready, so it never shows half drawn.
  • NewGradients: Linear, Radial, Angular and Diamond, with as many colour stops as you like, each with its own position and opacity. Flip or rotate a gradient, and place, turn and stretch it by dragging its handles on the canvas.
  • NewGradients work on strokes, on text and on shapes such as stars, polygons and vectors, and every stop can follow a colour variable.
  • ImprovedGradients come through when you send a selection from Figma or paste an SVG, and they show in PNG and SVG exports.
  • NewOpen a file on Home, or drop several, and they upload to your account in an Uploads panel while you carry on. Each file joins Home once it has arrived, with Open beside it, and an upload can be cancelled.
  • ImprovedSaving a local copy tells you at once that the file is being prepared, instead of nothing happening until the download starts.
  • NewSelect several layers, or a frame, and the Design tab lists every colour they use, each once, with the ones that follow a variable first. Change a colour there and every layer using it changes with it.
  • NewFrom that list you can apply a variable to all the layers using a colour, detach them from one, or select exactly the layers that use it.
  • NewSelect several layers and drag the selection box’s handles to resize them together.
  • ImprovedA new text takes the font, size and weight already used in its frame, instead of starting from Inter.
  • ImprovedAI tools have their own AI section in Settings.
  • ImprovedThe installed app’s icon is now a white mark on black.
  • FixedConstraints can be set on several layers at once.
  • FixedTab moves through the fields of the Design tab in order, instead of jumping to another layer.
  • FixedA vector set to Fill in an auto layout frame stretches with the frame.
  • NewType settings: decoration with underline style, thickness, offset and colour, small caps, vertical trim, list spacing, truncation with max lines, hanging quotes and lists, number styles, OpenType features, wrap style, and the axes of variable fonts.
  • ImprovedTypography has Justify, an Auto line height, and italics in the style list (Bold Italic and the rest).
  • NewAuto layout rows can line their items up on their text baseline.
  • FixedThe selection box keeps the right size after zooming to a layer.
  • FixedAligning a layer that ignores auto layout, inside a frame that hugs its content, puts it where you asked on the first click, and changing its constraints no longer moves it.
  • NewPreview opens as a tab next to your file, instead of a new browser tab. Switch back to the file at any time; Done closes it.
  • ImprovedDouble-click inside a selected frame to go one level deeper, again and again.
  • ImprovedIn Preview, text and pictures no longer get selected or dragged by accident.
  • FixedA layer that ignores auto layout keeps it when you move it in the Layers list.
  • FixedPressing Enter in a Design tab field applies the value and keeps you in the field, so Tab carries on to the next one.
  • ImprovedPadding per side is set in the order left, top, right and bottom, each side shown with its own icon.
  • FixedA video can be added as a fill from the colour picker too.
  • FixedPaste from the right-click menu keeps a layer’s place in the frame you paste it into, as ⌘V does. Paste here puts it under the pointer.
  • ImprovedWhen a file loses its connection, a notice says so and offers to try again. Keep working: your changes are sent when it is back.
  • FixedPaste several SVG files at once and each one comes in as its own frame, side by side in the order you copied them, instead of inside one another.
  • ImprovedA pasted SVG resizes as one drawing: its shapes scale with its frame.
  • NewAppear on scroll shows where it starts. Select a layer in the Prototype tab and the screen at the moment it plays is drawn on the canvas, with a line where the layer crosses into play. Drag that screen up to start it sooner, down to start it later.
  • NewAppear effects are tiles that play their animation, so you see how each one starts before you pick it.
  • NewAppear on scroll has a timeline: a bar for each line, word or letter, with its easing drawn in it. Drag the bar to delay it, its end to make it longer, the second bar to stagger the lines. Play shows it on the canvas.
  • ImprovedA layer that appears as soon as the page opens, or only once you reach the end of the page, is told so on the canvas. One drawn below a screen that cannot scroll says it will never be seen, with Fit height to fix it.
  • FixedA layer near the bottom of a page, such as a footer, now appears when you scroll to the end of the page, instead of staying hidden.

Agent credits for teams

A team now shares one pool of agent credits, with limits its owner and admins control.

  • NewEach editor seat adds agent credits to the team every month. The agent’s work on the team’s files uses the team’s credits; on your own files it still uses yours.
  • NewOwners and admins can cap the team’s monthly use and give each member a limit, from the team’s Agent credits settings.
  • NewSee who used how much this month, and get told when the team has used 80% of its credits and when it has used them all.
  • ImprovedIn a team file, the agent panel shows how many of the team’s credits are left.
  • FixedWhen the agent is paused on uxdeck’s side, it now says so, instead of asking you to start your conversation again.

Publish first, and pages named the way you want

Publish now leads the top bar, and you can see and change what each page of your site is called.

  • ImprovedPublish is the main button at the top of a file you own. Downloads and copies wait one click away, behind the button beside it.
  • NewSite settings lists your site’s pages: each one’s address and the title it shows in a browser tab and in search results, which you can rename right there.
  • ImprovedA frame’s name tells you the title and address its page gets once published.
  • ImprovedBefore you publish, the coach points out pages still called Frame 3, Desktop or Untitled.
  • FixedWhen your network blocks uxdeck for a moment, your file now waits offline and reconnects by itself, instead of saying you have no access. Signing in from such a network says what is wrong.
  • NewScreens sent from Figma bring their variables and the prototype actions that use them: Set variable, Set variable mode and if/else conditions, with the layers that follow those variables.
  • ImprovedIn a prototype, a variable set while playing keeps its value for the mode it was set in, so switching mode shows that mode’s values.
  • ImprovedMessages at the bottom of the screen can be dismissed, and no longer cover Preview’s controls.
  • FixedReplacing all the words of a list with a new line no longer leaves an extra empty line.
  • NewSet a minimum and maximum width and height on layers in auto layout, and on auto layout frames.
  • NewSpace paragraphs apart and indent their first line, from Type details.
  • ImprovedVariables reach further: min and max sizes, paragraph spacing and indent, layout guides, width and height. Type = in a field to apply one.
  • NewEdit a text’s content from the right panel, and turn it into a component property or a variable from the same button.
  • ImprovedCreate an icon’s swap property in one step, with its name, default and preferred icons.
  • ImprovedComponent properties belong to the whole set of variants: make one in any variant and every variant can use it, and instances keep their values when they switch variant.
  • NewInvite people to uxdeck from your account menu: send an invitation by email, or share your own invite link, and see who joined.
  • NewA screen pasted from Figma brings its prototype: clicks, hovers and other interactions, frames opened as overlays with their position and backdrop, fixed and sticky layers, and frames that scroll.
  • ImprovedComponents that come with a screen from Figma are gathered in one Imported components frame beside it, and later screens add to it.
  • FixedIcons pasted from Figma keep their full strokes and stay sharp at any zoom.
  • FixedA second screen pasted from Figma lands beside the first instead of on top of it.
  • FixedDesigns pasted from Figma keep their see-through backgrounds instead of turning white.
  • FixedScreens with many frosted glass layers no longer freeze the editor.
  • FixedPhotos used as a frame or shape fill now show in image exports, file thumbnails and the preview of a shared site.
  • ImprovedPasting another screen from Figma links it to the components you already pasted on the page, instead of adding them again.
  • FixedThe layers list shows every level of a deeply nested design, with layer names kept readable.
  • NewA file’s menu on Home lets you star it, copy its link, share it and open its version history, as well as rename it.
  • FixedSigning in no longer shows your own files for a moment before the team you were last in.
  • FixedLogging out from a file no longer leaves the file’s name in the browser tab.
  • ImprovedWhen a team turns the agent off, its panel simply says so, with nothing to try.
  • ImprovedDeleting a variable, a mode or a collection happens straight away, and Undo brings it back.
  • FixedA message with Undo can be used while a window is open over the canvas.
  • NewDescribe an idea on Home and the agent makes a new deck from it, drawing the screen for you to keep designing.
  • ImprovedVariables are quicker to edit: type maths into number values (8*2), paste a hex colour with or without #, double-click a name to rename it, Tab from one value to the next, and Escape closes only what is in front.
  • ImprovedA prototype’s Light and Dark switch changes the whole screen, even one set to a mode by hand, while sections with their own mode keep it.
  • NewSwap instance: pick any component from a searchable list with previews, swap several instances at once, right-click an instance to swap it, or drag a component from Assets onto an instance while holding Option.
  • ImprovedAligning a layer that ignores auto layout within its frame also sets its constraints, so the constraint settings match where you put it.
  • NewHold Option while dragging a resize handle to resize from the centre, both sides at once.
  • ImprovedRight-clicking a text field gives you uxdeck’s own Cut, Copy, Paste and Select all menu.
  • FixedWhile hovering plays every time the pointer enters and goes back every time it leaves, even in the middle of a long animation, in Preview.
  • FixedReplay and Reduce motion stay in the Preview bar while a hover changes a component.
  • NewMulti-edit variants has its own button at the top of the Design tab when you select a variant or a layer inside one.
  • ImprovedThe button at the top of the Design tab only appears when there is a next step to take. Copy link stays on ⌘L and the right-click menu.
  • ImprovedFrames whose layers only have prototype interactions, such as a hover that changes a variant, no longer show the Motion badge or the scroll rail. Those stay for scroll motion, loops and effects.
  • FixedDrag a variant out of its component set and it leaves the set, becoming a component of its own.
  • FixedReturn to instance comes back each time you select the main component again, until you use it or close it.
  • ImprovedCopy a variant and paste it into a screen: you get an instance named after its set, following it, instead of a second main component.
  • FixedWhile hovering on a variant with a label inside it now goes back when the pointer leaves, in Preview.
  • NewThe Prototype tab draws the connector for a Change to, from the layer to the variant it changes to.
  • NewReturn to instance: after Go to main component, a button above the toolbar takes you back to the instance you came from, as long as the main component stays selected.
  • ImprovedChange to now lists the variants of the set, instead of one menu per property.
  • NewA variant shows its Current variant values on the Design tab, with a way to its set, and warns when it is missing a property or shares its values with another variant. The set lists them too, with a Select button.
  • ImprovedA new text on a dark background starts in white, and one on a light surface in dark, so you can read what you type. The Fill section changes it as before.
  • ImprovedSelect several auto layout frames and change their direction, gap, padding, alignment or wrap together.
  • FixedA layer set to ignore auto layout keeps that when you move it up or down the layers list inside its frame.
  • FixedThe idea box on Home scrolls when you paste a long brief instead of growing over the Make a file button.
  • ImprovedPublish shows the site details and the checks as two clearly separate groups.
  • NewMulti-edit variants: select a variant or a layer in one and press Q. From then on every change you make, moving, styling, typing, deleting, drawing a new layer, repeats on the matching layers of every variant in the set. Q, the chip above the toolbar or a double-click outside the set ends it. Select matching layers in the right-click menu picks the matches on their own.
  • NewMulti-edit text: select several text layers and press Enter, or Multi-edit text at the top of the Design tab. Type once and they all take the words.
  • NewComponent properties, laid out clearly: an instance shows its component’s name at the top (click it to swap), then one row per property with a menu, a field, a switch or a component to pick. A main component lists its properties with Edit and Remove, and a layer inside it gets Apply property beside its eye, its text and its name.
  • NewReset all changes on an instance puts everything back to the component, nested layers and properties included.
  • FixedCombine as variants keeps your names: Button / Primary and Button / Ghost become a Button set with Primary and Ghost.
  • ImprovedSwapping an instance to another component keeps your text and takes the new component’s look; switching between variants keeps every change.
  • FixedInstances keep their own names in the layers list after a swap, and a set of variants shows as one item in Assets.
  • FixedRight-clicking an instance selects the instance, with Swap instance in its menu.
  • NewPress Shift+I to find a component and insert it, or hold Option to swap the selected instances to it. Quick actions (⌘K) finds components too.
  • NewChoose the preferred components of an instance swap property, offered first on every instance.
  • ImprovedA variable that points at another shows that one’s group too (brand / primary), so variables with the same name in different groups are easy to tell apart.
  • ImprovedIn a prototype, Set variable lets you search the file’s variables to choose one, as Apply variable does.
  • FixedLine height and letter spacing variables now mean pixels, instead of drawing lines many times too tall.
  • FixedOn a published site, opacity, size and stroke weight tied to variables now change with the mode too.
  • FixedDeleting a variable that another variable points to no longer leaves that one empty: it keeps the colour or value it showed.
  • FixedA layer’s text, visibility and size can be tied to a variable even when it has no variable yet.
  • ImprovedIn a team’s files, everyone in the team can add videos and join voice calls on the team’s plan, whatever their own plan.
  • NewSelect several files on Home: drag a rectangle around them, or click with ⌘ or Shift. Then drag them to a folder, Starred, Archive or Trash, or use their menu. Every move can be undone.
  • FixedA file dragged on Home no longer hides the sidebar, and the place it will land in lights up.
  • NewOn your phone, describe an idea and your computer makes the deck: the agent starts drawing it there the next time uxdeck is open.
  • NewVideo as a fill: put a video behind a frame or a shape, with its content on top, and choose how it plays. It plays in Preview and on your published site.
  • ImprovedAdding video is part of Pro and Team. Videos already in your files keep playing on every plan.
  • NewVideo has its own entry in the + menu, next to Image. Click a frame or a shape to fill it with the video, or the canvas to place it on its own.
  • ImprovedThe workspace switcher shows how many files each team holds.
  • NewBefore you publish, uxdeck shows how your site will appear and what it is still missing, such as a description or a tab icon, with a shortcut to set it up.
  • ImprovedWhile uxdeck reads the fonts on your computer, the font menu shows that it is still working.
  • FixedThe coach’s dot on the canvas always opens its finding, and stays on its layer while you pan or drag.
  • FixedStepping through the coach’s findings slides each one in once, from the side you pressed.
  • ImprovedGenerating a colour ramp: click the colour to pick it, instead of typing its code.

Breakpoints you can see

A screen and its phone and tablet versions now show as one set, with a place in Design to add, link and unlink them.

  • NewDesign has a Breakpoints section for a selected screen: every width it is laid out at, adding a phone, tablet or custom width, linking a frame you drew yourself, and unlinking one.
  • ImprovedOn the canvas a screen says how many breakpoints it has, each breakpoint names its screen, and a line joins them; a click on either opens Breakpoints.
  • ImprovedThe add button on a frame’s bar says Breakpoint, and Preview’s Responsive says it switches between your breakpoints.

Your site’s title, icons and search settings

Choose how your published site shows up when it is searched for and shared, and whether search engines list it.

  • NewDeck settings has a Site tab: your site’s title and description, with a preview of how a search result shows them.
  • NewGive your site tab icons for light and dark browsers, an icon for a phone’s home screen, and the picture a shared link shows. Until you choose one, a shared link shows your home screen.
  • NewChoose whether search engines may list your site.
  • NewUnpublish a site from its Site settings too.
  • NewOn Pro and Team, ask your site’s visitors for a password: share it with a client or your team before it goes public. It takes effect at once, and a new password asks everyone again.
  • ImprovedA file’s language now lives in its Site settings, beside the rest of what the site says about itself.
  • FixedHome’s file pictures, PNG exports and a shared link’s picture now show your web and uploaded fonts instead of a plain system font.

Your own fonts, in every file

Upload the fonts you have a licence for once, and every file in your workspace draws in them, for everyone who opens it, on your published sites too.

  • NewSettings, Workspace, Fonts: upload the fonts you hold a licence for, as WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF. Each one is named and styled from the file itself, and you can correct it before it goes.
  • NewAn uploaded font shows in every file of the workspace, for teammates and for anyone opening a shared link, without installing anything.
  • NewThe Fonts picker lists your workspace’s fonts first, under Workspace.
  • NewYour uploaded fonts go with your site when you publish it or export it, so visitors see your typeface.
  • NewBefore you publish, any font your workspace does not have yet is named, with a button to upload it there and then.
  • FixedA font whose file name hides a weight word inside another word, such as SomethingElse, is no longer read as Thin.

Exported sites hold up on phones

A site you export now looks on a phone the way your phone breakpoint does on the canvas, and keeps the feel of your fonts on computers that do not have them.

  • FixedOn a phone, blocks with a set height in an exported site keep their full height instead of being squeezed together.
  • FixedA headline word too wide for its box wraps onto the next line in an exported site, as it does on the canvas, instead of running off the edge.
  • FixedWhen a visitor does not have your font, text in a monospaced font shows in another monospaced font, and a serif in another serif, instead of a plain sans.
  • FixedOn a phone, a long file name on Home is cut short instead of stretching its card out of line with the others.

See who is here on your phone, and clearer motion mode

Your phone shows who else is in a file, and motion mode names your effects and keeps revealed text in sight.

  • NewOn a phone, the people in a file right now show on its card on Home and at the top of the file while you look at it.
  • ImprovedMotion mode names each effect on the layer that has it, like Glitch or Dither, and a tap on the name opens it.
  • ImprovedIn motion mode, text that reveals line by line stays visible, faintly, until the page scrolls to it, instead of leaving the page looking empty.
  • ImprovedDragging an effect from the Effects library shows it clearly beside the pointer, with its name, until you drop it on a layer.
  • FixedWhen invites are held back for a while, you are told when you can send them again, rather than always in a minute.
  • FixedOpening a sign-in link in a browser where someone else is signed in now asks whether to switch accounts, instead of switching without a word.

Loops, rolling numbers and Dither

Make a layer move on its own, roll numbers in like a counter, and fill a box with a field of dots that follows the pointer.

  • NewLoop: a layer can move over and over while it is on screen, as a marquee, a slow spin, a pulse or a float, or between any two states, there and back or starting over.
  • NewRoll digits: numbers in a text can appear by rolling up like a counter, each digit landing on its value. Choose how many times they go round.
  • NewDither, in Effects: fill a box with a field of dots over a slowly drifting cloud, or over its picture, in ordered dots or a halftone. The pointer leaves a trail that thins the dots and tints them with a colour you pick.
  • FixedA loading screen or any layer set to Fixed now shows above the page in Preview and in the export, and its own motion plays.
  • FixedHovering an interactive component in Preview no longer replays the rest of the page, and the component goes back as soon as the pointer leaves.
  • FixedLayers set to Fill share their row evenly, whatever is inside them.
  • FixedA layer set to ignore auto layout inside an auto layout keeps the place and size you gave it.
  • FixedAn instance you renamed keeps its name when it switches to another variant.
  • FixedResizing the window in Preview’s Responsive mode no longer replays the page’s motion.
  • FixedExporting a site no longer turns a set of variants into a page of its own.
  • NewA layer with effects shows an effects button beside it when selected, next to its motion. Effects play in Preview and the export, and the button opens them in the Prototype tab.
  • NewThe agent can add Glitch and Dither to your layers, change them and remove them.
  • ImprovedEffect colours can be typed any way you like, as a hex, rgb(), hsl() or a colour name, and the effect shows that colour. A word that is not a colour is pointed out.
  • ImprovedFonts you bought and installed are no longer called missing when you export. The site asks for them by name and tells you which font files to add to its fonts folder, since your licence is yours to use.
  • NewA row set to scroll sideways, like a carousel of cards, can be dragged with the mouse in Preview and in the export, and glides on when you let go.
  • NewThe Effects library: browse every effect by category or search, see each one play under the pointer, then click it onto your selection or drag it onto any layer on the canvas.
  • FixedScroll motion and loops on layers inside an auto layout now play in Preview, not only in the export.
  • NewOn your phone, request a feature and read the changelog straight from your account menu.
  • FixedA field of dots behind a carousel stays in place while the cards are dragged or scrolled.
  • FixedMatch layers between variants stays inside its layer: a hover fill rising in a list row no longer slides out of the row.
  • FixedInteractions set on a single instance now play in the export, not only those set on its component.
  • FixedIn the export, moving the pointer down a list of hover components shows each one in turn, at once, and every one goes back when the pointer leaves.
  • FixedText layers whose names start with a number, such as a price or a count, keep their style in the export.
  • FixedEffects on pictures play in an exported page opened straight from your computer.

Prototypes on your phone

Play a file’s prototype on your phone, full screen: just the prototype, with its options a two-finger hold away.

  • NewPlay prototypes on your phone: tap Play in a file and the prototype fills the screen, with nothing around it. Turn your phone sideways to see a desktop design full size.
  • NewPress and hold with two fingers while a prototype plays to switch flows, restart, show what can be tapped, share the prototype, or go back to the file.
  • NewA prototype link opened on a phone plays the prototype straight away.
  • FixedTurning your phone sideways keeps you in the phone app instead of switching to the computer’s.
  • ImprovedPreview opens in its own tab on the uxdeck mark and a progress bar, with nothing else around it while the prototype loads.
  • ImprovedIn Preview, the pointer turns into a finger over everything you can click, and a hand over what you can drag.
  • ImprovedHotspot hints in Preview now highlight what you can click in blue, instead of outlining it.
  • FixedRequest a feature now reaches the uxdeck team directly, from your account, instead of opening your mail app. The window shows which account it is sent from.
  • NewAdd up to five pictures to a feature request: pick them, paste them or drop them in, and remove any before you send.
  • ImprovedOpening the Prototype tab from an announcement with nothing selected brings you to a frame with motion, so you see what plays there straight away.
  • ImprovedThe Scrollwork credit in the Prototype tab links to Scrollwork on GitHub.
  • NewSearch in Settings: type what you are looking for, such as dark mode or notifications, and go straight to that setting.
  • ImprovedSettings has a way back to Home, or to your file when you opened Settings from one.
  • FixedA prototype shared with Anyone can view now opens for people without an account. A link that cannot open the file says so, instead of showing an empty file.
  • NewPress Escape to leave Preview, in its own tab as in the editor. It closes an open overlay first.
  • ImprovedA Tablet or Phone breakpoint is made ready for touch: 16px side margins on a phone and 32px on a tablet, calmer spacing, body text of at least 16px, and buttons and links large enough to tap.
  • FixedIn exported code, a Phone breakpoint now applies to phone-sized screens only, instead of to every screen narrower than your desktop design.
  • FixedA phone frame drawn by hand next to a desktop screen no longer removes Phone from that screen’s breakpoint menu.
  • NewUse as breakpoint of: a frame you drew yourself can join a screen as its breakpoint. Its layers are matched to the screen’s, it follows the screen’s edits from then on, and it exports as one responsive page.
  • ImprovedIn Preview’s Responsive mode, narrowing the window switches to the screen’s tablet or phone breakpoint, and widening it switches back.
  • ImprovedTablet and Phone breakpoints give hover effects a tap version: what happened on hover happens while pressing, and what opened on hover opens on a tap. Exported code keeps hover effects to devices with a mouse.
  • NewA Long nav flag on phone screens with more than three links in a row, where a menu button usually works better. Click it to find the row.
  • FixedPasting with a frame selected now pastes inside that frame, frames of a Tablet or Phone breakpoint included.
  • ImprovedWith several auto layouts selected, width and height offer Hug, Fixed and Fill, and set all of them at once.
  • ImprovedPlay in the top bar opens Preview where the selected screen’s flow starts. A frame’s own play button still plays that frame.
  • NewA layer that moves shows a motion button beside it on the canvas when selected. It opens that layer’s motion in the Prototype tab.
  • ImprovedMotion mode marks every layer that moves, with what it does: Appear, Parallax, Hover and more, not only the links a click follows. Click a mark to open its motion.
  • ImprovedExit motion is also at the bottom of the canvas, above the toolbar, so you can leave motion mode from anywhere on a long page.
  • NewGive a deck a colour and a short description in its settings. Both show on its card on Home, for everyone in the deck, on your computer and your phone.
  • ImprovedA deck’s settings now open on the deck itself: its cover, name and description, then its colour, folder and language, the coach, and its history.
  • FixedCoach rules you mute now stay muted after a reload, for everyone in the deck. Unmute them one at a time from the deck’s settings.
  • FixedOpening a file from Home no longer flashes: the loading screen stays in place until the file is ready, then fades into the canvas.
  • ImprovedIn the layers panel, Pages stay at the top while you scroll through your layers.
  • FixedMenus, popovers, dialogs and the floating toolbar show their glass effect again, with your design softly blurred behind them.
  • FixedProfile pictures on Home’s file cards have the same rounded shape as everywhere else.
  • ImprovedThe browser tab shows uxdeck and the name of the file you have open.
  • NewThe button at the top of the Design tab suggests the next step for your selection: Create component for an auto layout frame, Add auto layout for a frame of loose layers, Frame selection for several layers, Go to main component on an instance.
  • ImprovedThe auto layout alignment box shows each item where it sits, and previews where it will go as you point at it.
  • ImprovedAuto layout’s spacing and canvas stacking now sit together in Layout options, beside the gap.
  • NewLibraries in the colour picker lists your file’s colour variables, grouped and searchable. Pick one to apply it to a fill or a stroke.
  • ImprovedComponents stand out in the layers list: a component icon for components and component sets, a diamond for variants and instances, in purple.
  • ImprovedVariants in the layers list are named by their values, such as Default or Hover. Rename one to change its full property, such as State=Hover.
  • ImprovedA new component set comes with a dashed purple stroke that you can see and change in the Stroke section.
  • NewStrokes can be dashed.
  • ImprovedDragging the connect ring now adds an interaction and opens it in the Prototype tab, ready to set: onto a frame it goes there, onto another variant it changes to it, onto a layer it scrolls to it. Hold Option to start a layer’s motion instead.
  • NewChange to on an interactive component animates: Instant, Dissolve or Match layers, with its easing and duration, in Preview and on your exported site.
  • NewChange to can also swap an instance, such as an icon, using the component’s instance swap properties.

Variables

Tokens are now variables, with a new Variables window, Apply variable on your fields, and code that keeps every mode. Generated states arrive as a tidy, interactive component set.

  • NewParallax can Keep covered: a picture filling a frame is scaled up just enough that its drift never shows the frame’s edge, at any speed.
  • NewMotion can scale one axis: a Width and a Height beside Scale in every motion state, so a bar grows from the left or a panel opens from the top.
  • NewA hover, press or click can change a layer’s fill and text colour: set Fill colour and Text colour in the state it moves to, and the colours ease along with the rest.
  • NewAI tools can give a state a picture to swap to, for a logo that changes on hover.
  • NewSticky layers take a Top offset: a panel can hold a little way down the screen, under a sticky header, instead of only at the very top. In Preview and in exported code.
  • FixedA sticky layer keeps its place in the stacking order: with First on top, a sticky header stays above every section and panel that scrolls under it.
  • FixedFonts with an apostrophe in their name, such as Suisse Int’l, are kept on the layer instead of falling back to the default font.
  • FixedThe badge that counts layers hanging off a screen no longer counts the cards waiting off to the side of a frame that scrolls, or a picture larger than the cell it fills.
  • FixedThe play bar at the bottom of Preview no longer casts a grey shadow over the design.
  • FixedDouble-clicking the file name to rename it no longer opens the file menu at the same time.
  • ImprovedPasting layers from another file says which of their fonts this computer cannot draw, as a paste from Figma already did.
  • NewVariables hold colours, numbers, text, booleans, and now timing and easing for motion, in collections with a value per mode. Your tokens became variables in a Tokens collection, and everything that used them still does.
  • ImprovedA new Variables window: groups in a sidebar, search by name or value, a filter by type, select several rows to duplicate, copy, paste, group or delete them, and drag rows to reorder.
  • NewEdit a variable to give it a description, choose the fields it is offered for, set its name in code for web, iOS and Android, or hide it from publishing.
  • NewPoint a variable at another one (an alias), so changing a base colour changes every colour built on it.
  • NewApply variable on fill, text colour, stroke, corner radius, gap, padding, opacity, font size, line height, letter spacing and motion: search the variables that fit, or create one from the value you see.
  • ImprovedExported code writes your variables as CSS variables, with a block for each mode, so a dark theme in your design is a dark theme in your code.
  • ImprovedAI tools can read and write variables, with their modes, and set the mode of a frame.
  • FixedOpening a saved .uxc file now keeps its variables.
  • FixedThe Invite popover has a close button.
  • ImprovedOpening a file shows all of its frames at once, instead of the first one up close.
  • FixedThe notification bell opens from Settings too.
  • ImprovedProfile pictures are round again, everywhere they appear.
  • ImprovedThe fonts on your computer open in the font picker straight away once you have allowed them, and the picker no longer stalls while it shows them. Reading them again happens only when you ask, with Look for new fonts.
  • NewWhile typing in a text, Tab goes on to the next text on the page, and Shift+Tab back to the one before.
  • FixedA picture copied and pasted on the canvas keeps its picture, in the same file and in others.
  • FixedIn auto layout, the picture of children set to stretch runs the same way as the direction arrow.
  • FixedOn a phone, frame names no longer blink away while you drag the canvas: they stay in place, slimmed to the name, and their buttons return when you let go.
  • FixedPreview at Actual size on a small screen: a desktop mockup taller than the window now starts at the top and the window scrolls to its bottom, and scrolling the page no longer drags the mockup around once the page ends.
  • ImprovedThe scroll bar beside a frame now plays Appear on scroll: drag past where a layer starts and it comes in the way it would for a reader, line by line; drag back above it and it is ready to play again. A frame that hugs its content scrolls over all of it.
  • NewPreview tells you when a layer with motion sits below a screen that cannot scroll, and offers Fit height to grow the screen to its content.
  • ImprovedAdding auto layout to a frame whose content already runs past its bottom (a landing page drawn below a 900px screen) makes the frame hug its content, so Preview scrolls to everything, and Appear on scroll lower down plays. A frame whose content fits keeps its size.
  • ImprovedOpening a file or its Preview, on a computer or a phone, shows how far it has really loaded, under the uxdeck mark, and large files arrive in parts.
  • FixedFrame names on the canvas stay readable whatever colour you give the page, light or dark, in either theme.
  • NewSelect a fill by clicking just left of its swatch, then paste a picture to make it an image fill, or a colour code to recolour it. You can also copy a fill and paste it onto another layer’s fill, or press Delete to remove it. It works on several layers at once.
  • NewWith several layers selected, edit their width or height at once: the size shows when they share it and Mixed when not, and the value you type is given to each of them.
  • FixedA Preview tab left open while you edit no longer gets stuck on an older version. If its connection dropped without notice, Restart (R) or coming back to the tab reconnects it and brings your latest edits, with no need to close and reopen it.
  • ImprovedCopy and paste land where you expect. A layer pasted into another frame keeps its place there, and is centred where it does not fit. Pasted with its original selected, it lands right on top of it. A frame pasted on the canvas goes to the right of the original.
  • NewSelect several frames and paste to put a copy in each, or to share several copied layers out between them in order.
  • ImprovedPaste over selection puts the copy on top of the selected layer, at its position. Paste to replace keeps the replaced layer’s place in the layers list and its constraints.
  • ImprovedDuplicate puts the copy right on top of the original, and a frame’s copy to its right.
  • NewCopy as PNG, with Shift+Cmd+C or from Copy as, to paste a picture of your selection anywhere.
  • ImprovedPasting far from where you are looking lands in view, and the canvas follows a paste into a frame that is out of sight.
  • ImprovedA prototype connection you select on the canvas is removed straight away with Delete, and ⌘Z brings it back.
  • NewCanvas stacking for auto layout: choose whether the first or the last item draws on top where items overlap, such as a top bar that ignores auto layout over the sections below it. Your exported site stacks them the same way.
  • FixedHiding a layer from the layers list now hides auto layout frames too, on the canvas and in your export.
  • FixedLocking works fully: a locked layer and everything inside it can no longer be selected, moved, edited or deleted on the canvas. You can still select it in the layers list and change it in the panel, and what is inside unlocks with it.
  • NewMixed styles in a text: select words while typing and make them bold, italic, underlined or struck through, or give them their own colour, font, size or letter spacing. The panel shows what the selected words have, and Mixed where they differ. Collaborators see it, and your exported site, React and Tailwind code keep it.
  • NewStrikethrough for text, from the panel or with ⌘⇧X.
  • NewImage actions: select a picture and its tools appear above the toolbar and in Quick actions. Crop it, adjust it, replace it, change how it fills its layer, download it, or vectorize it into shapes you can recolour and edit.
  • NewSet motion by dragging: in motion mode, drag a moving layer and its motion changes where the scroll bar is, at the start, at the end or a step in between, with the values in the Prototype tab following as you drag.
  • FixedWhile placing several images you can move and zoom around the canvas freely, then keep placing.
  • FixedAdding auto layout around a layer that ignores auto layout now moves that setting to the new frame, so the layer sits in its new auto layout and the frame stays where it was.
  • ImprovedDouble-click the motion mark beside a layer in the layers list to go straight to its motion in the Prototype tab.
  • FixedLists of layers in the Prototype tab name them as the layers list does, so a text shows its words instead of just "Text".
  • ImprovedPaste goes into the frame you have selected, layers and pictures alike, placed where you can see them.
  • NewCreate components from the canvas: right-click a layer, or several, and choose Create component to make one from them, or Create multiple components to make one each. A component has a Main component menu to add a variant or an instance, and an instance can take you to its main component or be detached.
  • ImprovedWhen a frame set to scroll cannot scroll, because it grows with its contents, the Prototype tab tells you and fixes it in one click.
  • ImprovedFull screen in Present shows your prototype on its own, without the phone or browser around it.
  • FixedInteractive components work on your exported site again: a toggle or any component that changes variant on click now changes there too, as it does in Preview.
  • NewPresent has full keyboard control: arrow keys, Space and N step through your frames, R restarts, Z changes the scaling and F goes full screen, with a bar at the bottom to step back, forward or restart. Options let you turn the shortcuts off, show the clickable areas when a click misses, hide the device frame or hide the whole interface.
  • NewScroll behavior in the Prototype tab: a layer scrolls with its parent, stays Fixed in place (a top bar, a tab bar), or is Sticky and holds at the top once it gets there. It plays in Preview, in your exported site and in exported React and Tailwind code, where each page keeps its own fixed bars, and the layers panel marks Fixed and Sticky layers.
  • NewGradients and shadows take variables too: each gradient stop, and a shadow’s colour, offset, blur and spread.
  • ImprovedOrganise variables by dragging: groups into other groups, collections into the order you want, and columns to the width you need.
  • ImprovedIn exported prototypes, changing a variable or a mode now also changes strokes, shadows, gradients and fonts.
  • NewVariable modes follow your plan: one per collection on Free, 10 on Pro.
  • ImprovedGenerate States places the new set beside the screen the control came from, stacked one state per row, and the screen keeps the control as an instance of it.
  • NewGenerated states are interactive: hovering the control in a prototype shows its hover state.
  • NewAdd variant from the right-click menu, on a component or on a variant in a set.
  • FixedCreate component is easy to find in the right-click menu again.
  • FixedA frame set to hug its content now shows a top bar as wide as the frame.
  • FixedA variant dragged out of its set becomes a component of its own, named after the state it was, without leftover variant properties.

AI tools work with uxdeck closed

Claude Code and other AI tools can now work on your files even when uxdeck is not open, and uxdeck keeps a version first so you can go back.

  • NewAsk AI to fix this: on any comment, on your phone or your computer, ask uxdeck AI to fix what the comment asks. It changes that screen, replies in the thread with what it did, and keeps a version first. Undo AI changes on its reply takes back only what it changed.
  • FixedAI tools connected with a token now reach your uxdeck files directly, and the Gemini CLI setup works from any folder.
  • FixedWhen an AI tool tries to put words where they cannot show, it is now told where they go instead of reporting a change that did not happen.
  • ImprovedClearer steps for connecting ChatGPT, on any plan, free included.
  • FixedAI tools find your files the same way whether uxdeck is open or closed.
  • FixedHome shows a file cover drawn with auto layout as it looks on the canvas.
  • FixedVariables stay in a file after everyone has left it and it is opened again.
  • ImprovedTurning a link off or resetting it now shows people out of the file straight away.
  • FixedHome shows when a file was really last edited, on any of your devices, instead of calling everything edited just now after you sign in.
  • FixedA cover, tokens and variables set on a new file are kept when it first saves to your account.
  • ImprovedAfter an update, AI tools keep working on your files while an older tab waits to restart.
  • NewConnect Antigravity with a token, from Settings.
  • ImprovedExported animations follow your duration and easing tokens: change one in the code and the motion changes with it.
  • NewInstance swap properties: choose which icon or button a component shows, per instance, from its panel. They also come across when you paste from Figma.
  • ImprovedSwapping an instance keeps what you changed on it, wherever the layer names match.
  • FixedA change to a component nested in another now reaches every instance of the outer one.
  • FixedSmooth scrolling plays again in exported HTML pages that also have prototype interactions.
  • NewClaude Code and other AI tools can work on your files even when uxdeck is closed: they open, create and edit files in your account, and anyone who has the file open sees the changes arrive. Before their first change, uxdeck keeps a version named after the tool, so you can go back to how the file was.
  • NewConnect ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI and Kimi Code to uxdeck, alongside Claude and Cursor. When you create a token in Settings, pick your tool and copy its setup; ChatGPT connects with the address, like Claude Desktop, and needs no token. The setup guide covers each one.
  • ImprovedWhen an AI tool asks uxdeck for something it does not understand, like a setting with the wrong name, it is now told what it got wrong and can fix it, instead of its change quietly landing in the wrong place or missing a detail.
  • ImprovedDesigns sent from Figma with the uxspot plugin keep their components, and instances stay linked to them when you send both together. Letter spacing and font weights come across as Figma had them.
  • ImprovedWhen a design brought in from Figma uses a font uxdeck cannot find on your computer or on the web, uxdeck tells you which one, so you can install it or choose another.
  • ImprovedAI tools can bring SVG icons into your files even when uxdeck is closed.
  • FixedWhen your picture storage is full, uxdeck now tells you, instead of quietly not saving the picture.
  • FixedPasting a component together with one of its instances no longer doubles the layers inside the instance.
  • NewMotion tokens: keep your durations and easings as tokens, including your own cubic-bezier curves, and use them for Appear on scroll, interactions and state transitions. Change a token once and everything using it follows. Exported sites and code name them as CSS variables.
  • ImprovedFigma variant sets come across as variant sets, with their text and on/off properties. Instances keep the variant and the values they had in Figma.
  • FixedSwitching an instance to another variant keeps the values of its properties and the layers you hid on it.
  • FixedA text property can hold any label, like "Buy now!", without it being lost in a shared file.
  • ImprovedEditing very large files is faster: each change does much less work behind the scenes.
  • ImprovedThe coach is more precise: it no longer judges text filled with a gradient as if it were one colour, and it notices a border drawn too faint to see.
  • ImprovedThe coach explains three things more clearly: why tap targets need room, why an empty list needs a designed state, and why a link must look pressable.
  • ImprovedTailwind exports now animate hover and pressed states as smoothly as the HTML export.

Masks, and typing together

Clip any design to a shape or a picture with Use as mask, and type in the same text as someone else without losing each other's words.

  • NewMasks: select a shape and the layers above it, then choose Use as mask (Control Command M). The shape clips everything above it, and a picture used as a mask clips by its transparency. Masks look the same in exported sites, SVG and PNG. Release mask undoes it.
  • FixedTwo people typing in the same text at the same time both keep their words. Before, whoever finished last replaced what the other had written.
  • ImprovedClaude Code on your computer pairs with uxdeck once: uxdeck shows a six-digit code at the bottom of the layers panel, you give it to Claude Code, and from then on only that Claude Code can work on your files.
  • ImprovedThe coach starts with your design: it no longer opens a new deck by asking for its language. That reminder is still there when you ask for a review.
  • ImprovedYour own other tabs of a file no longer show up as people in it.
  • FixedVery large files no longer freeze for several seconds shortly after you edit them.
  • ImprovedOn Home, very large files show their first screens, clear enough to recognise, instead of every screen shrunk to a blur.
  • FixedOpening a file and closing it without changing anything no longer marks it as edited on Home.
  • Improveduxdeck uses far less battery on large files: a file left open with a coach finding on screen no longer keeps your computer busy while you are not editing.
  • ImprovedHome keeps up with your collaborators: when someone changes a file you share, its card on Home shows their latest version when you come back to Home, without opening the file.
  • ImprovedPictures added from a web address, by you or by an AI tool, are now kept in your file. The site they came from is never asked for them again, so it cannot see who opens your file.
  • ImprovedPictures in your files are now private to the people in them, and so are the previews on Home and in version history. When you remove someone or turn a link off, they also lose access to them within two days, even ones they opened before.
  • NewA setup guide for connecting Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai to uxdeck, with what to ask them and what to do when something goes wrong. Find it from Settings, under AI tools.
  • ImprovedTokens for Claude Code and other AI tools now expire. When you create one, choose 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, a year, or no expiration, and Settings shows when each ends. Apps that connect by signing in, like Claude Desktop, sign in again every 90 days.
  • FixedSigning in while a shared file is open keeps what you write in that moment. A comment sent right as you signed in could be lost, or posted under your guest name.
  • ImprovedSVG and PNG exports now keep every shadow, inner shadows, layer and background blur, and blend modes, so the picture you download looks like your canvas.
  • ImprovedVersion history is now kept with the file in your account, not in your browser. Everyone who can open a file sees its versions and who saved each one, a new version shows up for everyone as soon as it is saved, and your history follows you to any computer. Versions you had saved before move over the next time you open the history.
  • ImprovedVersion history opens in the right panel, as a timeline. Automatic saves are grouped so the versions you named stand out, and hovering a version shows it beside the panel with Restore, Restore as a copy, Rename and Delete.
  • ImprovedYour conversation with the agent about a file is kept in your account, so it is there on any computer you open the file from. It stays yours: people you share the file with do not see it.
  • ImprovedBreakpoints come through in full when you download the site or a React project: layers that exist only on one breakpoint and text that differs by width are included, and a change made on Tablet no longer shows up on phones.
  • NewIn a call, turn anyone up, down or off just for you from their card. Your setting for each person is remembered for the next call.
  • ImprovedWhen someone is being called, everyone in the file sees it on their card, so nobody rings them at the same time.
  • FixedIf you keep talking right after muting yourself, uxdeck now asks if you are trying to talk straight away.
  • NewDownload your deck as a React project from Export. Each screen is a component, your components come across as React components with their variants and properties as props, and the project runs with npm install and npm run dev. Fonts and pictures are included.
  • FixedMice that scroll by lines, common on Windows and Linux, move the canvas at a normal speed instead of barely moving it.
  • FixedComing back to a shared link after a week no longer shows you as signed out: the file opens as it did the first time.
  • ImprovedThe Target size check says it asks for 44 pixels, stricter than the 24 the accessibility guidelines accept, and why.
  • ImprovedThe coach says what works in French too, and switching language changes it straight away.

Variables and prototyping

Variables with modes, prototypes that remember and decide, interactive components, springs and swipes, and exported sites that play it all. Plus .uxd files for local copies.

  • FixedWhen a token for Claude Code or Cursor cannot be created for a moment, uxdeck now says so and asks you to try again, instead of telling you that you already have too many tokens.
  • ImprovedResponsive in Preview now shows your screen across the whole window, without a device around it, so layers pinned to the edges stay in view as the window changes size.
  • ImprovedConnecting Claude Code or Cursor is simpler: create a token in Settings, then copy the setup line for your tool. Your tokens are listed with when each was created and last used, and uxdeck checks with you before you close a token you have not copied.
  • NewConstraints work on the canvas. Resize a frame and the layers in it follow their constraints: pinned to the right, stretched from left to right, centred or scaled. Hold Cmd, or Ctrl on Windows, while resizing to leave them where they are. A selected layer shows dotted lines to the edges it is pinned to, and Shift-click in the constraints diagram pins two sides at once.
  • ImprovedA local copy of a file is saved as a .uxd file. Copies you saved before, as .uxc, still open.
  • NewInstall uxdeck as an app from Chrome or Edge on your computer, and your .uxd files show the uxdeck icon and open in uxdeck with a double click.
  • FixedComments you have read or resolved no longer show as new, and the Comments tab only marks a comment naming you until you have read it.
  • NewPrototype a whole screen: a page or a full auto layout frame can now have its own interactions, like moving on by itself after a delay, a key press, or a click anywhere on it.
  • ImprovedLink a screen to another straight from the canvas, and see a line for every link, overlay and swap in your prototype.
  • FixedIn a prototype, clicking a button inside a card or a screen that also has a click now runs only the button, as you would expect.
  • NewVariables: collections of colours, numbers, text and true or false values, with modes such as Light and Dark. Bind a layer’s fill, text, size, visibility and more to a variable, and choose which mode a frame shows.
  • NewPrototypes that remember: Set variable (count up, switch on), Set variable mode (go Dark), and Conditional to do one thing or another, with several actions on one click.
  • NewInteractive components: Change to switches an instance to another of its variants in Preview, so a toggle, a tab or a checkbox works when you click it.
  • ImprovedMatch layers moves, resizes and recolours the layers two screens share, matching them by where they sit as well as by name.
  • NewSpring animations: Gentle, Quick, Bouncy, Slow, or your own spring.
  • ImprovedPreview opens scaled to fit your screen, device and all, so a desktop design shows whole on a tablet or a small laptop. Scale to fit is the first scaling option, and a design is never blown up past its real size.
  • NewThirty more animation curves, the classic easings from Sine to Bounce, for interactions and for Appear on scroll. Choose a curve by its shape and watch it play at your animation’s own speed before you pick it. They play in Preview and in exported sites.
  • NewSwipe between screens: an On drag animation follows your finger or pointer, and goes back if you let go early.
  • NewOverlays can open next to the layer that opens them, like a menu or a tooltip, over a background colour of your choice. Navigate can keep the scroll position, and Scroll to can stop short of a sticky header.
  • ImprovedConnections on the canvas: click one to edit it, drag its end to another frame, delete it, copy and paste it onto other layers, and link several layers at once.
  • ImprovedExported sites play your prototype: overlays, variables, conditionals, interactive components, and the animations between pages, Match layers included.
  • NewScrolling frames: a row of cards or a carousel inside a screen scrolls sideways, up and down, or both, and Scroll to can take you to a card inside it.
  • ImprovedAn overlay keeps its own settings, where it sits, what closes it and what is behind it, and every link that opens it uses them.
  • NewVideos on the canvas: drop an mp4, webm or mov onto a frame, and choose whether it plays by itself, loops, is muted or shows its controls.
  • NewPrototype with video: play, pause, mute or jump to a moment on a click, and move on when a video ends or reaches a time you choose, in Preview and in exported sites.

Pictures and comments on your phone

Pinch, swipe and double tap through the pictures in a comment, and comments that are easier to read.

  • NewOn a phone, pinch to zoom into a picture in a comment, double tap to zoom in or back out, and swipe between the pictures of a comment.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, the zoom controls for a picture sit on their own at the bottom of the screen, where your thumb is.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, comments are larger and easier to read, and showing or hiding comments on the canvas is a clear on and off switch.
  • ImprovedOn a phone, menus open as sheets from the bottom of the screen, and your account menu switches between System, Light and Dark in one tap.
  • ImprovedMenus, pickers and pop-ups now fade in and out smoothly, on the same frosted glass everywhere.
  • ImprovedSettings on a phone: switches sit beside their names, easier to read at a glance.
  • FixedSee plans in Usage opens your plans again, on a phone as on a computer.
  • ImprovedCalling someone: you hear the same ring they do while you wait, and red hang-up and Leave buttons end the call.
  • NewMissed calls go to your notifications, with Call back to ring the person from the file. They no longer sit in the bar at the top of the file.
  • FixedWhile you call someone, you no longer show as talking because your microphone hears the ring.
  • ImprovedTalking while muted: a small note under the microphone asks if you meant to talk, with Unmute, instead of pushing the top bar around.
  • NewMute or unmute a call from the keyboard: ⇧⌘M on a Mac, Ctrl+Shift+M elsewhere. It is in the shortcuts list under Voice.
  • NewConnect Claude Code or Cursor to uxdeck from anywhere: make a token in Settings, paste the line it gives you, and your AI tool can read and design in the file you have open. Revoke a token at any time.
  • NewClaude Desktop and claude.ai can connect too: add uxdeck as a connector and approve it in uxdeck, with no token to copy. It then shows in Settings with your other tools.
  • ImprovedSet up in production, Claude Code and Cursor connect through the uxspot MCP: one install gives your assistant the UX reference and the canvas together.
  • ImprovedThe bottom of the layers panel shows when Claude Code is ready or working in your file, and offers to connect it when it is not.
  • FixedThe picture of the person you are calling keeps its rounded corners while it pulses.
  • FixedOn a tablet, the buttons along the top of a file are all the same height, and a missed call no longer covers the file name.

Your own profile picture

Upload the picture collaborators see, in place of the one from Google or GitHub.

  • NewUpload a profile picture in Settings. It replaces the one from Google or GitHub everywhere collaborators see you, and stays when you sign in again.
  • FixedSigning in with Google or GitHub no longer changes the name you chose in Settings.
  • NewOn a phone, you can now comment on a file and mention people, open a thread from a notification, and invite people, right from the file.
  • NewOn a phone, you can hide the comments on the canvas, and Home lists your starred files and your folders.
  • NewOn a phone, Home now has your notifications, search, and Settings, where you can change your picture, your name and your preferences.
  • ImprovedWhen a comment mentions you, your name stands out in it, on a computer and on a phone.
  • FixedSigning in with Google or GitHub on a phone no longer ends on an error page when the sign-in opens twice: you land in your files, or on the sign-in page with a clear message.
  • NewPeople you invite by email show in the file's share list as Invite sent, with when it went out, until they open the file. If an invite never arrived, you can send it again from there.
  • ImprovedStroke has a new layout: the colour first, then its position and weight side by side. A stroke colour can now be see-through.
  • NewStroke positions: Inside, Center or Outside, on rectangles, frames, ellipses, polygons, stars, vectors and boolean shapes. Lines and open paths stay centred.
  • NewIndividual strokes on rectangles, frames and images: stroke all sides, only the top, bottom, left or right, or give each side its own weight with Custom.
  • FixedA stroke set to Center now sits across the edge, half inside and half outside, instead of drawing outside.
  • NewPrototype flows: give a frame a flow starting point from its Flow section in Prototype, name it and describe it. With nothing selected, Prototype lists every flow on the page, ready to select, share or present.
  • NewPreview lists your flows beside the prototype: pick one to start it from the beginning, and read its description as you go. Presenting with nothing selected starts your first flow.
  • ImprovedPictures in comments open right in uxdeck, with their name, zoom, and the other pictures of the comment one click away.
  • ImprovedA reply you started and did not send is kept when you close the comment, and waits for you when you open it again.
  • ImprovedOne address, one account: Google, GitHub and email links on the same address open the same account and files, and a different address is always a separate account. Settings shows the address behind each way in.
  • FixedInviting your own address to a file now tells you the file is already yours, instead of sending yourself an invite.
  • NewTransfer ownership: hand a file to someone who is in it, from their access level in Invite. It becomes theirs and counts toward their plan, and you stay on as an editor. They get an email saying so, and it shows in their notifications.
  • FixedThe thumbnail you set for a file now shows on Home straight away, in every browser and on your phone, without opening the file first.
  • NewAccept or decline invites: when someone invites you to a file by email, the invite also appears in your notifications. Accept it and the file is in your Home, at the level you were invited to; opening it from the email accepts it too.
  • ImprovedThe owner sees invites answered as it happens: an accepted invite turns into a person in the file's access list, a declined one leaves it.
  • FixedWhen the person you call declines, does not answer, or you cancel, the call now ends for you too, unless others are already talking in the file.
  • ImprovedPeople whose plan has no voice are no longer offered a call: their card says so instead.
  • ImprovedLeaving a call asks right under the call bar, without covering the file.
  • ImprovedWhen nobody else in the file has voice on their plan, Voice says so instead of starting a call nobody can join.
  • ImprovedEmails about a file now show its picture: invites, access requests, being let in, ownership, and comments.
  • ImprovedIn a call, the people talking with you now sit beside your face in the call bar, and whoever is speaking comes to the front.
  • ImprovedSee who is in the call and who is talking or muted, by name, from the call bar.
  • FixedIn the layers list, auto layout frames now list their layers in the order they appear on the canvas, first at the top. Dragging layers in the list moves them in the stack the same way.
  • NewTidy up (⌃⌥T): lines uneven layers up in rows and columns with even spacing.
  • NewA stroke colour can use a colour token, and any colour can become a token in one click, straight from the Design panel. Change the token later and every stroke using it follows.
  • FixedClicking a stroke's colour swatch now opens the colour picker.

Viewers, and asking to edit

People you share a file with to view get what they need to read and comment, and can ask you to let them edit.

  • NewViewers have Properties: select any layer to see its size and position, its colours and its type, copy any of them in one click, and export it as PNG or SVG. Comments sit right beside it.
  • ImprovedA shared file opened to view shows its layers and pages, the comments and the properties, without the coach, the agent or the tools for changing the design.
  • ImprovedSomeone who opens your link without an account lands on that one file, with nothing else around it.
  • NewAsk to edit: someone viewing a file you shared can ask you to let them edit it. You see the request in Invite and by email, and one click lets them edit; their open file switches to editing straight away.
  • NewPeople who open your link without an account are invited to sign in, on a computer and on a phone, so the file stays in their Home and they can ask to edit it.
  • FixedA shared link opened on a phone now opens the file, instead of an empty Home.
  • NewRequests in your notifications: when someone asks to open or edit one of your files, it appears under Requests and you can say yes or decline right there. When an owner says yes to you, you are told there too.
  • NewReply from your notifications: hover a comment to read the whole thread beside the list and answer it without opening the file.
  • NewChoose which requests reach you in Settings: all of them, only the ones waiting for your answer, or none.
  • FixedThe settings button in the notifications panel now takes you to your notification settings.
  • FixedMotion keeps your own styles: a layer that is centred, faded or moved by its own settings no longer jumps while it animates, in Preview and in exported sites.
  • FixedExported sites with smooth scrolling: boxes that scroll on their own (a long list, a code block, a carousel) scroll again with a mouse wheel or trackpad.
  • ImprovedMotion in exported sites is kinder to everyone: screen readers read animated text as words rather than letter by letter, a key that starts an animation no longer stops buttons from working, and turning on reduced motion while the page is open takes effect at once, with timed steps still waiting their turn.
  • ImprovedExported sites use less battery: motion stops working in the background when nothing on the page is moving.
  • FixedExported pages no longer flash: text and layers that animate into view stay hidden until their animation starts, instead of showing for a moment first.
  • ImprovedDownloading a site tells you if a font could not be included (when you are offline, for example), so you know to export again, instead of finding out on the live site.
  • NewYou can write to the uxdeck team from the sign-in page, and replying to any uxdeck email now reaches a person.
  • NewSupport and Security pages: how to get help, and how to report a security problem.
  • NewThe Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are published, and linked from the sign-in page.
  • Fixeduxdeck no longer opens on a blank page after an update, in the browser or in the installed app: it loads the new version by itself.
  • ImprovedPinned sections on exported sites stay perfectly still on iPhone, even when you scroll fast, instead of trailing behind and catching up.
  • ImprovedCalls sound new: a proper ringtone when someone calls you, a waiting tone while you call someone, a sound when you join, and another when you hang up.
  • ImprovedExported code writes motion the way the Scrollwork docs do: each moving element carries its own motion, so a developer can read it and change it right there, with the Scrollwork guide in hand.
  • FixedThe coach keeps the finding you are working on: changing your design in answer to it no longer swaps it out for other findings, so asking the agent for its version stays one click away.
  • FixedMenus keep your keyboard place while collaborators move around the file, instead of jumping back to the button that opened them.
  • FixedWhile you call someone, the voice bar shows who you are calling.
  • FixedA confirmation opened with a double-click stays open until you answer it.

The plans, for real

Free, Pro and Team are set out in Settings, and your plan is what uxdeck goes by.

  • NewInvite lists who has access with each person’s level: as the owner, make someone a Viewer or an Editor, or remove them, and it applies right away, even in the tab they have open. You see each person’s email under their name; everyone else sees who is the owner, an editor, a viewer or a guest.
  • ImprovedComment pins show the person who started the thread, their picture or their initial filling the pin, with the number of comments on a small badge once someone has replied.
  • ImprovedMentioning someone with @ shows their face and, under their name, their email address when you own the file or were invited to it by name; otherwise whether they are here now.
  • FixedA file keeps its custom thumbnail, its language and its design tokens after you sign out and back in, or come back to it later. They could be lost when the file was reopened.
  • NewResizing a frame from its right or bottom edge snaps to what is inside it, so fitting a frame to its image is one drag.
  • NewSnap to pixel grid in the View menu (Shift Cmd ’): moves and resizes land on whole pixels. Turn it off to place things between pixels.
  • ImprovedLayout grids snap by their rows and square grids too, not only their columns.
  • ImprovedCopies are numbered: pasting or duplicating "Vector" gives "Vector 1", then "Vector 2", and "Frame 2" gives "Frame 3", whichever way you copy. A text layer keeps showing its words.
  • ImprovedA file with a custom thumbnail shows it on Home as a full poster, with a soft shade so the star and the owner stay easy to see.
  • FixedChrome no longer offers to save what you type in uxdeck (a width, a name, a search) to your Google account as if it were personal details.
  • ImprovedExport on the Free plan: PNG and SVG of the page are right there, and a short note says what Pro adds, with the plans one click away.
  • FixedText fields no longer draw an extra line inside them when you click in; the field itself shows it is active.
  • FixedDouble-clicking a rectangle, ellipse, polygon or star to edit its points no longer turns it into a vector straight away: it stays a shape until you move a point, and one undo makes it a shape again. Inside an auto layout frame, the points now sit on the shape instead of appearing somewhere else on the canvas.
  • NewSet as thumbnail: right-click a screen and choose Set as thumbnail to make it the picture Home shows for the file. Everyone in a shared file sees the same one, and Restore default thumbnail goes back to the whole page.
  • NewSettings > Plans shows the plan you are on and what each plan includes. Free keeps three files of your own, the coach’s eight measured rules, the reading library, practice briefs and grades, PNG and SVG export, and unlimited viewers, who can comment. Practice briefs never count as one of your files.
  • NewAgent credits are now monthly: 500 on Free (at most 150 a day), 3,000 on Pro, pooled across a team’s seats. The AI balance in the deck menu, under the agent’s box and in Settings > Usage says what is left this month, and on Free what is left today.
  • NewPro opens the rest: unlimited files, HTML, Tailwind and site export, all twelve coach rules, Fix all and whole-page passes, the Checklist tab, voice in shared files, 10 GB of images and 90 days of versions. Anything Free does not include says so where it is, with the plans a press away.
  • NewThe Code section in the inspector shows the first lines of your own design as HTML on Free, blurred, so you can see it is real code before choosing Pro. CSS for a layer stays free.
  • ImprovedNothing is charged yet. Tell us which plan you would choose with Notify me; checkout comes next.
  • ImprovedOpening a file you can only view: the editing tools step aside, the panels say what you can do, and the agent and the coach’s fixes wait until you have edit access. You can still comment, close your own comment threads, and export pictures.

Pictures you can tune

Images in the Fill section say Image, and open to their scale and adjustments.

  • NewAsk for access: when a link no longer opens a file, ask the owner from the file itself. The owner lets you in as a viewer or an editor from Invite, and you get an email when they do.
  • NewPeople you let in by name keep their access when you turn the link off or reset it. Invite lists them, and you can remove anyone there.
  • NewDelete your account from Settings. We email you a link to confirm, and nothing is deleted until you confirm in uxdeck.
  • ImprovedEmails about mentions and comments now show a picture of where the comment was left, with a pin on the spot: the frame it is on, or the part of the page around it.
  • NewReplies: when someone answers in a comment thread you wrote in, you hear about it in the bell and by email, even if you chose mentions and replies only.
  • NewWhen a comment thread you wrote in is resolved, you hear about it.
  • FixedThe button in a comment email opens the file on that comment.
  • FixedOpening one of your own files from a shared link takes you to the file instead of back to Home.
  • ImprovedA cleaner sign-in page, with the new uxdeck mark: the ways in, one after the other, and nothing else to read.
  • Newuxdeck has its new mark: in the app, on its tab in your browser, as the icon when you install it, and on the preview when you share a link. A deck with nothing on it yet shows the mark in its place on Home.
  • ImprovedThe coach in the Review tab now looks like the rest of uxdeck, in light and dark, and its text is larger and easier to read. When there is nothing to report it shows what it does, a screen being read, and a link at the foot credits uxspot.io, where the coach comes from.
  • ImprovedThe downloaded site works with a keyboard and a screen reader: a layer you click is a real link or button that Tab reaches and Enter presses, the page reads top to bottom as designed, and each screen is the page’s main content.
  • NewChoose the language a deck is written in, in Deck settings: the downloaded site tells screen readers which voice to use.
  • NewFour more things the coach checks: images with no description, clickable layers with nothing to read out, shortcuts on a single key, and a deck with no language set.
  • FixedItalic text keeps its real italic in the downloaded site, and the fonts of every page travel with it.
  • ImprovedThe downloaded site is just the site: the design audit is no longer in the folder or in the pages. The coach stays in uxdeck, where you design.
  • FixedThe downloaded site fills the window: each screen is as wide as the browser it opens in, sections set to Fill or pinned to both sides stretch with it, Fixed and Hug keep their size, and nothing scrolls sideways. The page’s background carries on below the design.
  • NewPrototype animations: a link can change the screen with Instant, Dissolve, Match layers, Move in, Move out, Push, Slide in or Slide out, in the direction, curve and duration you choose. Match layers moves and resizes the layers both screens share by name.
  • NewOverlays: Open overlay shows a frame over the screen, centred or at an edge, with a dim behind it that closes it on click if you like. Swap overlay and Close overlay work from buttons inside it.
  • NewMore triggers: On drag, Key/Gamepad (press the key to set it), Mouse enter, Mouse leave, Mouse down, Mouse up and After delay, alongside click, hover and press. The standard easing curves are there too.
  • ImprovedLinking in the Prototype tab is easier: point at any side of the selected layer and a ring appears there; drag it onto a frame and the line snaps to that frame, landing where the link will be drawn.
  • NewHold Shift while dragging to keep a layer on a straight line, across or down. With Alt as well, it is the copy that slides along the line and the original stays put.
  • FixedUndo now covers everything you change in the side panels: auto layout, sizing, corners, checkboxes, menus, and scroll motion in the Prototype tab. Each change is one step, ⌘Z works wherever you last clicked, and it never skips a step or undoes nothing.
  • FixedAuto layout frames can hug their content again, including a frame inside another auto layout frame: choose Hug for its width or height.
  • ImprovedA cleaner light theme: white panels and toolbars around a lighter canvas.
  • NewFont size styles are now text styles: each one holds a font, a weight, a line height and a letter spacing along with its size, and a text using it takes them all. A part the style leaves on Auto goes back to its default on every text that uses it. A generated type scale makes variables for every step: size, line height, letter spacing and weight.
  • NewRadius styles can round each corner differently: open a radius style’s corners and set each one.
  • ImprovedStyles are quicker to make and edit: each kind has its own +, the kinds you have not used yet are one click away underneath, and clicking a colour style’s swatch opens the colour picker.
  • NewMeasure distances: select a layer, hold Alt (Option on a Mac) and point at another layer to see how far apart they are. Point at the frame around it to see its distance to each edge.
  • NewRight-click a deck’s tab for the same menu as its name in the top bar: rename, duplicate, move to a folder, versions, settings and more.
  • NewPresent in full screen: the button beside Done in Preview, or press F. Press it again, press F or Escape to come back.
  • FixedScroll motion keeps up while you work: the page stays scrolled where you left it when you move a layer, and the Prototype tab’s numbers follow the move. The scroll bar beside the frame no longer keeps following your pointer after you let go, and dragging a number or resizing a side panel no longer leaves the resize cursor stuck, with clicks and scrolling on the canvas blocked until you pressed again.
  • ImprovedPreview rests when nothing moves: a page with hundreds of animated layers no longer keeps your computer busy while you look at it, even when the connection is down.
  • FixedPreview in its own tab stays in step with the canvas: every edit shows up by itself, the frame’s fill shows instead of white, R brings it up to date, and closing it no longer asks for confirmation. The deck you are editing also no longer drops its connection when a Preview tab opens.
  • NewGuides. With the rulers on, drag from the top or side ruler onto the canvas to place a guide. Drop it on a frame and it moves with the frame. Drag a guide to move it, hold Alt to copy it, and drag it back onto a ruler, press Delete or right-click it to remove it. Layers snap to guides, and guides are saved with your deck.
  • FixedThe rulers line up with the canvas again: they had drifted above it by the height of the top bar.
  • ImprovedYour account menu shows how you sign in, under your email: Google, GitHub, or the email link.
  • ImprovedComments look and feel like a note: press C and the Comments list opens beside the canvas, and a new comment is a roomy card next to your picture on the spot you clicked. If the connection drops while you write, the card says so, keeps your words, and lets you send as soon as it is back.
  • ImprovedDeck settings and account settings are two places now. From a deck, Settings is about that deck: its name and folder, its versions, the coach rules muted in it, sharing and export. Your profile, preferences, voice, usage and plan are in Account settings, from the main menu, the link at the foot of Settings, or Home.
  • ImprovedSharing in Settings works like Invite: invite by email, choose what the deck link allows, copy or reset it, and see who is here.
  • NewFolders. Sort your decks into folders from Home: make one with + under Folders, then drag a deck onto it or use Move to folder in its menu. In a deck, the folder beside its name opens its Name and Folder, so you can rename it or move it without leaving. Folders live in your account, so they are the same on every device, and deleting one never deletes a deck: its decks go back to Unsorted.
  • ImprovedShare is now Invite, and it opens right under its button: type an email to invite someone, choose what the project link allows, copy it, and see who is in the file.
  • ImprovedExport is for the web: the site and its code. Pictures of what you selected are in the right-click menu and Quick actions.
  • NewMotion mode from the frame. A frame with scroll motion shows a Motion badge on its bar, with how many layers move. Press it to open the Prototype tab on that frame, with its scroll rail and every motion’s values, and press Exit motion to go back to Design.
  • ImprovedA cleaner tab bar: Home and your notifications sit together at the left as icons, and your open files show by name.
  • ImprovedCursor chat is easier to read: larger text, your own line in uxdeck’s colour, and a bubble that grows with what you type. The canvas pointer is sharper too, with a dark arrow that stands out on any design.
  • ImprovedHome shows your files as large previews, with the name and when it was last edited underneath, and who owns a file in the corner of its preview. An empty file shows the uxdeck mark. On a tablet and a phone they sit two to a row.
  • ImprovedQuick actions knows what you selected. A frame offers Preview, auto layout, a dark version, a loading state, missing breakpoints, a component and code export; an image, replacing it and how it fills its box; a text, editing, case and a rewrite by the agent; a button, its states; a component, a new instance; an instance, its main component, a reset or a detach; several layers, framing, auto layout, aligning and spacing them.
  • NewQuick actions. Press Cmd and K, or the command button in the bottom toolbar, and type: any command from the menus, with its shortcut, any layer or page by name, or a question for the agent. Opened empty, it suggests what you can do with the selection and lists what you ran last.
  • FixedSettings says where your file really lives: in your account, private until you share it. Deleting a file you own says plainly that it is deleted for everyone you shared it with, and the top bar no longer calls a private file Shared while you are offline.
  • NewIgnore auto layout. A layer inside an auto layout frame can step out of the flow while staying in the frame: turn it on beside Rotation in the Layout section, and the layer stays where it is, the others close the gap, and you can place it and pin it with constraints like any free layer. Hold Ctrl while dropping a layer into an auto layout frame to do the same. The layers list marks it with the same icon.
  • ImprovedYour files are decks now. A new file starts as Untitled deck, and the main menu offers Back to Deck when you are in Settings.
  • FixedThe zoom menu in the bottom toolbar opens right above the zoom button instead of floating away from it.
  • FixedPreview and presenting tabs show the frame as it is on the canvas: its background, and its auto layout spacing and alignment, instead of every layer piled in the top left corner. Changes to the frame show up there as you make them.
  • ImprovedAn image fill or an image layer shows as Image in the Fill section, with its thumbnail and opacity, instead of a colour code.
  • NewPlace several images at once. Choose Image from the + menu, or press Shift, Cmd and K, and pick as many pictures as you like: the next one follows your cursor with a count of how many are left. Click to place it at its own size, drag to set its size, or click a shape to fill it with the picture. Place all puts the rest down together, and Escape stops.
  • ImprovedDrawing an image box asks for its picture as soon as you let go, and an image box still waiting for one offers Choose image in the Fill section.
  • FixedSmall pictures in files kept in your account no longer disappear after they are added.
  • NewAdd a colour to a picture. The + in the Fill section stacks a colour with the image, to tint or darken it. Each has its own opacity, show and remove, and dragging one over the other decides which sits on top on the canvas.
  • NewImage settings. Open an image in the Fill section to choose how it fills its layer (Fill, Fit or Tile), replace it, and adjust its exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature and tint while watching a preview. The canvas and the code export both show the result, and the layers inside a frame keep their own colours.

Your files follow you

Every file you make belongs to your account from the moment it exists, and so do your archive and your trash.

  • FixedA file made while signed in is in your account straight away, not only after it had been opened on a good connection. Sign in on any device and it is there.
  • FixedNothing you made can be lost by logging out: a file is only let go once your account holds it.
  • FixedYour files are yours alone. Someone signing in with another account on the same browser sees their own files, never yours.
  • FixedA local copy opens with its pictures. A .uxc saved from a file with pictures in it came back with empty boxes; the pictures now travel inside the file and come back wherever it is opened, even with no connection.
  • FixedRenaming a file from Home works and sticks. Choosing Rename on a file card kept closing the name field before you could type; it stays open now, and the new name reaches your account and every other device, so opening the file no longer brings the old name back.
  • NewThe archive and the trash are part of your account. A file you archive or trash on one device is archived or trashed on every other, and both are still there after you log out and back in.
  • FixedThe Checklist, Comments and Reading views in Review scroll again when they are longer than the panel.
  • ImprovedSee motion as you design it. Drag the scroll bar beside a frame and the Appear on scroll, While scrolling and Pin sections show where the page is against each motion and what the layer is doing at that moment: how far it has moved, how faded, scaled or turned.
  • FixedThe marks beside a frame for held layers stay put while you scrub the page, instead of sliding along with the layer they describe.
  • ImprovedMessages read better. Away from the canvas they appear near the bottom of the screen, a longer message gets a shape that fits it, and Open on your computer shows it is working while it sends.
  • ImprovedType a value with its unit and the field follows. Enter -1px in letter spacing, 1.5rem in font size or 1.5em in line height, and the field switches to that unit and keeps your number.
  • NewOpen uxdeck on your computer from your phone. Turn on Open from your phone once on your computer, from Home or Settings, and the button on your phone sends it a notification that brings you straight to uxdeck there.
  • ImprovedAlignment is back in plain sight. The six align buttons sit beside the Layout title, and the menu next to them holds distributing and resizing to fill or to fit.
  • ImprovedHide the interface to see only your design. The button now sits beside the layers search, and it hides the side panels, the top bar and the file tabs together; a small pill in the corner, or Cmd and backslash, brings them back.
  • NewSelect several layers in the layers list. Hold Cmd (Ctrl on Windows) and click to add or remove a layer, hold Shift and click to select every layer between two, or both to add a run to what you have.
  • FixedDragging a layer to the top of the layers list brings it to the front. Dropping it just above the first layer used to leave it where it was; now it lands in front of everything, and dropping below the last layer sends it to the back.
  • NewYour agent credits are always in view. See what is left today under the agent's message box, in the Deck menu under AI balance, and in Settings under Usage, all showing the same number, with when it resets.
  • NewLayers with motion are marked in the layers list. A small motion mark sits beside the name of any layer that appears on scroll, moves with scroll, stays pinned or animates on interaction, and hovering it says which.
  • ImprovedArchived files look like every other file. Their options live in the file menu, where you can open, restore, rename, duplicate or trash them, and an archived file opens with a click like any other.
  • NewLock and hide layers from the layers list. Hover a layer to see its lock and eye; a locked or hidden layer keeps showing them, so you can tell at a glance.
  • ImprovedKeyboard shortcuts have a new home, in the shortcuts panel and in Settings. Browse them by category with every key shown on its own, search across all of them, and see which ones you already use picked out, with a count of how many you have learned.
  • ImprovedCopies of numbered layers count on. Duplicate a frame called 1 or Frame 2, with the shortcut, the menu or an Alt-drag on the canvas or in the layers list, and the copy is named with the next free number instead of the same name again.
  • Newuxdeck on your phone. Signed in on a phone you now get Home with your files two to a row, Recents, All files, Archive and Trash a tap away, and any file opens on its canvas to look at: pan with a finger, pinch to zoom, switch pages from the menu. Designing stays on tablets and computers; the phone is for looking and checking in.
  • NewSign-in methods, under Settings and Profile. Connect Google and GitHub to the account you are in, on any address, so whichever button you press at the door opens the same files. Disconnect one whenever you like; a link sent to your address always gets you in.
  • FixedSigning in on a file no longer shows Offline and then Signed out when you are in fact signed in, and the agent answers instead of asking you to sign in.

A front door of its own

uxdeck now opens on its own sign-in page, on any screen, in your theme.

  • FixedA file no longer sits behind a loading screen when the server cannot be reached. It opens straight away and catches up with your account when the connection comes back.
  • FixedThe trash keeps what you put in it. A file you deleted could vanish from the trash for good as soon as you made or renamed another one, which made Restore a promise uxdeck did not always keep.
  • ImprovedLayout is one section again. A frame shows its position and size, then either Add flex or the flex controls under their own heading, then Clip content. Nothing is repeated between two sections any more.
  • ImprovedThe faces in the top bar are the other people in the file. Your own face lives at the end of the tab bar and nowhere else.
  • ImprovedVoice appears once somebody else is in the file with you, not before.
  • ImprovedIn a call, your face shows whether you are talking or muted, Leave is one press away, and a chevron opens the list of everyone in the call with the same marks on their faces.
  • ImprovedThe buttons at the top right of a file are one height and one type size.
  • ImprovedThe Layout and Flex sections in the right rail are readable again. Position, size and the transform buttons sit on two tidy rows, the headings that pushed everything apart are gone, and each control carries its own icon.
  • ImprovedFrame sizes moved behind the Layout title. Press the chevron next to Layout to pick a phone, tablet, desktop or paper size, or keep a custom one; the Custom size row is gone.
  • ImprovedCorner radius is clearer: one field with its corner mark, and a maximize button that opens Corner radius details with the four corners drawn as corners rather than labelled TL, TR, BR and BL.
  • ImprovedThe Layout and Flex controls sit on one strict three-column grid, so every row lines up with the row above it and the rail scans at a glance.
  • NewCorners can be rounded one at a time. Press the corner button in the Radius section for four fields, top-left to bottom-left; set them all the same and it folds back to one number. The canvas, HTML, Tailwind and SVG export all follow.
  • ImprovedCorner radius has a slider now, so you can find a value by eye and still type an exact one.
  • ImprovedFlex no longer repeats the width and height that Layout already shows, and wrap is its own switch rather than a third direction.
  • ImprovedAccessibility and Generate fold away behind a plus like every other section, and stay open once you open them.
  • ImprovedSettings sorts itself out. Voice now has Permissions, then Devices with your microphone and speaker together, then how it behaves while you talk. None of it is hidden when you open Settings from Home, because a microphone belongs to your browser and not to one file.
  • FixedChoosing which comments reach you is one control instead of three buttons reading Choose, it says what it changed, and the email switch no longer turns itself off again when comments are set to None.
  • ImprovedThe settings sidebar works from the keyboard: arrows move between tabs and the page follows.
  • ImprovedWith nothing selected, the Design tab is Page, Styles and Export, and Present moved to the Prototype tab where its device and backdrop belong: one row, the mockup and the colour, with a play in its title. The explanations under Page and Present are gone.
  • NewScrollwork gets a scroll rail. In the Prototype tab, a thin rail beside a scrolling frame is the whole page: the screen is its thumb, which you drag to see the page scrolled, and every motion is a knot at the scroll position where it starts. Select a layer and its range lights beside the rail; a hold is two knots joined, and a layer the hold drives sits inside it. Motions that start in the same place share one knot with a count; press it again to move through them. The dashed lines and numbered badges that used to cross the design are gone.
  • FixedPresenting a file that lives in your account opens a real presentation. The tab used to lose its way and show the editor instead.
  • FixedPresent opens one tab and leaves the editor alone. Pressing Present used to open the presenting tab and put the editor into Present as well, so Done in one tab left the other still presenting.
  • ImprovedGenerate is a list to pick from rather than a stack of buttons. Each thing the canvas can make, the other theme, a loading state, the accessibility notes or a control's states, is a row with its own icon, a line saying what comes out, and its shortcut.
  • FixedYour Google or GitHub picture now shows on your face everywhere in uxdeck, including for accounts that were made by email link first. Changing your name in Settings still sticks: signing in again does not undo it.
  • ImprovedSettings is reachable from Home, under Trash. Your account, notifications, voice and plan no longer sit behind opening a file first.
  • ImprovedChoose your theme from your account menu, where it belongs, instead of a switch in the sidebar. Switching no longer announces itself: the window changes, which is the point.
  • ImprovedLogging out is one press now, with nothing to confirm.
  • ImprovedRequest a feature is a single box and a send button. No form to fill in.
  • ImprovedThe cards in Home’s sidebar are paged with dots again, and Practice can be dismissed like the agents card.
  • NewCursor chat. Press / in a shared file and type beside your own cursor: everyone in the file reads it as you write. It is for the quick remark that does not deserve a comment, so nothing is kept, and the line disappears a few seconds after you stop typing. You can also start it from the canvas menu.
  • NewHome shows who is in a file. The faces of the people working in a project appear on its card, so you can see where everyone is before you open anything.
  • NewInvite people by email. Type addresses into the Share panel and everyone gets the link in their inbox, with the name of the file and who sent it. They can open it with or without an account.
  • NewYour projects live in your account. A file you make is kept for you the moment it exists, so signing in on another computer brings your work with you, wherever you started it.
  • ImprovedSharing is now its own decision. A project is yours alone until you press Share and turn the link on, and nobody can open it before that. Before, putting a file somewhere safe and handing out an edit link to anyone who had it were the same button.
  • ImprovedThe Share panel says which it is: a project only you can open offers to turn the link on, and once it is on you get the link, the people in the file and the choice between view and edit. The link can go off again whenever you like.
  • ImprovedComments no longer ask you to share a file first. You can leave notes on a project only you can open, and they are waiting in the thread for whoever you share it with later.
  • ImprovedLogging out clears your projects from that browser and leaves them in your account, which matters on a computer you share. They come back when you sign in again, anywhere.
  • Improveduxdeck opens on a sign-in page rather than dropping you into the editor. Google and GitHub are the two ways in, and the first time you press one your account is made, so there is no separate sign-up to go and find.
  • ImprovedThe sign-in page is dark like the rest of uxdeck, and follows you to the light theme if that is the one you keep.
  • NewYou can make your account on a phone. Designing still wants a tablet or a computer, and uxdeck says so once you are in, but a link you open on the way somewhere no longer stops you at the door.
  • FixedSigning in by email link no longer leaves you nameless. Your account is made with a name taken from your address, and collaborators see that rather than "Guest". Signing in with Google or GitHub keeps the name they already have.
  • NewChange the name people see on your comments, in Settings under Profile.
  • NewNotifications. A bell next to your face collects comments and mentions on your files, wherever you are in uxdeck. Hover one to read the comment without leaving the page, press it to open the file, and mark the lot as read in one go.
  • Newuxdeck can email you as well. A mention arrives within a few minutes; ordinary comments come as one email per file every half hour, so a busy thread is one message rather than twenty. Choose all comments, mentions only, or none, in Settings under Profile.
  • FixedYour face now sits at the end of the tab bar wherever you are, on Home as well as inside a file, and pressing it holds your account, the theme and the way out. Signing out was previously only reachable from inside an open file, which is to say not reachable at all if you had none.
  • ImprovedFaces are squircles rather than circles, everywhere they appear: the tab bar, comments, the people in a shared file and your account.
  • ImprovedAuto layout: the alignment grid now runs the same way as the direction above it, so a horizontal layout reads horizontally and a vertical one reads vertically.
  • ImprovedEmpty screens show a sketch of what would be there instead of an icon and a sentence: Home, the trash, the archive, a search that found nothing, and the screen after something goes wrong all share it.
  • ImprovedThe product is called uxdeck everywhere now: the browser tab, the sidebar, the app you install to your home screen, the link preview when you share it, and the name the design agent knows itself by.
  • NewSign in with your email address. Type it in, we send you a link, and pressing it puts you straight in. No password to make up and no password to forget, and the same field makes your account the first time.
  • ImprovedA sign-in link that has already been used, or that sat too long, now says so when it brings you back instead of dropping you on the sign-in page with no explanation.
  • ImprovedEach sign-in email carries its own short code in the subject, so asking for a second link does not bury it under the first one in your inbox. If you asked twice, use the newest.
  • ImprovedAn export carries uxdeck too. The audit page that ships beside your screens wears the mark, and the proof line stamped into the code reads uxdeck-checked. Every finding still links to the page on uxspot.io it came from.

Go back to how it was, and talk while you work

Your file keeps its own history, going back is one step you can undo, and you can now talk to the people in a shared file.

  • NewVoice. In a shared file, press Voice in the top bar and talk to everyone else in it. Their faces glow while they speak, so you always know who is talking.
  • NewCall someone. Hover a face in the top bar and press Call: they hear a ring, see who is calling, and one press puts them in voice with you.
  • NewWhen a call is on and you are not in it, the top bar offers Join.
  • NewFollow someone. Hover a face in the top bar and press Follow to ride along with what they are looking at: the canvas moves with them and wears their colour while it does. Touch the canvas and you have the wheel back.
  • NewFollowing works between different sized windows: you are shown the same part of the design, fitted to your own screen, not a cropped copy of theirs.
  • NewCall sounds: a ringtone, a ring while you wait, and a short note when you connect or hang up. Turn them off in Settings.
  • NewA call reaches you across every project you have open, not only the one on screen. The banner says which project it is in, and answering opens it and puts you in the call.
  • ImprovedSomeone already in a call shows as in voice and cannot be rung. Their card now offers to join them instead of leaving you at a dead end.
  • FixedText on the canvas is sharp again at every zoom. It was being drawn once and then stretched, which showed on every font, including the one that ships with the canvas.
  • FixedA two finger swipe on a trackpad no longer sends the browser back a page and takes you out of your file. Sideways swipes belong to the canvas now.
  • ImprovedA new file opens empty. The phone frame that used to be there decided for you; the frame presets in the right panel are a press away when you know what you are designing for.
  • ImprovedThe first frame you draw in a new file sits at 0, 0, so everything you measure afterwards is measured from something. The frame stays where you drew it on screen.
  • ImprovedComment mode has its own cursor, a pin whose point is where the comment will land.
  • FixedPictures in a shared file are stored without the address they were uploaded from, so the product can change its name or move house without anybody’s documents having to be rewritten.
  • Improveduxdeck asks you to sign in before it opens. Your files then live with your account rather than with one browser, so they are there on the next machine you sit at. A link someone shares with you still opens without an account, and so does a prototype.
  • NewYour picture sits at the end of the top bar. It says which account you are on, and holds Your account and Sign out.
  • ImprovedSigning in has been rebuilt around Google and GitHub, and your account now lives in the same place as your files. Signing in by email link comes back once there is an inbox to send it from.
  • NewDeleting a file puts it in the trash instead of destroying it. Trash sits in the Home sidebar; a file waits there until you restore it or delete it for good, and nothing is ever thrown away on a timer.
  • ImprovedThe agent can be switched off on the server in one command, and Settings says so instead of letting you find out one failed request at a time.
  • FixedThe font list no longer locks up the app while it opens. Only the fonts you can see are drawn, and the check for newly installed ones happens after the list is on screen instead of before it.
  • ImprovedThe font search is ready to type in the moment the list opens.
  • FixedThe inspector shows a layer by the same name the layers list shows, so a text layer no longer reads as simply "Text" when you select it.
  • ImprovedRenaming a layer starts from the name you can see, instead of the one underneath it.
  • ImprovedAuto layout: double-click the alignment grid to make children fill the other axis, and the grid shows it. The stray Stretch button is gone.
  • ImprovedThe layers list keeps the ordinary pointer over a layer icon, instead of swapping in a magnifier.
  • FixedThe browser is asked to leave the canvas alone: no autofill offering to save a layer width, no spellcheck underlining your headings.
  • ImprovedComments show people as faces. Once sign-in carries a photo it is the photo; until then it is their initial in their colour, and a thread two people are talking in shows both of them on its pin.
  • ImprovedPresent opens in its own tab. The editor stays where it is, so you can design on one screen and watch it on the other, and what you are watching updates as you work with nothing to press.
  • NewPresent shows who else has the file open and an Invite button, and a scaling menu: actual size, responsive, fit width, fit width and height, fill screen.
  • NewA live badge sits in the bottom right of Present, and R refreshes if you ever doubt it.
  • ImprovedClicking a comment in the list now zooms to what it is about and marks it for a moment, instead of sliding the canvas to a pin at whatever zoom you happened to be on. A comment still attached to a layer frames that layer and outlines it.
  • ImprovedThe comments list has been rebuilt. Each thread carries its number, the people talking in it and how many replies it has, and one button holds the sorting and filters: by date or unread, resolved shown or hidden, only your threads, only this page, only the ones naming you.
  • NewComments you have not read stand out, and the list can be sorted to put them first. Opening a thread reads it, and a thread can be marked unread again from its row. What you have read is remembered in this browser.
  • NewResolve a thread straight from the list, without opening it.
  • FixedEscape now closes a menu opened with the mouse. It only worked from the keyboard before.
  • ImprovedA reply box is one line until you write in it, and opening a thread to read it no longer puts the cursor in the reply box.
  • NewComments take emoji and pictures. There is a picker for emoji, an at sign button for naming someone, and you can attach up to five pictures to a comment.
  • ImprovedSharing has been redesigned. One page shows who has access and gets you the link in a press; what the link allows lives behind it, so the common thing is quick and the rules are somewhere you go on purpose.
  • NewSee your export before you download it. The Export section in the right panel now has a scale, a format and a preview of the selected frame, drawn from the export itself, so anything that does not survive the export is visible first.
  • NewMention someone in a comment. Type an at sign and pick a name: they are marked in the comment, and the thread shows up under Mentions you. People who have written in the file can be named even when they are not here.
  • NewEvery comment in one list, under Review in the right panel. Filter to unresolved or to the ones that name you, search the text, and press a row to jump to it on the canvas, switching page if it lives on another one.
  • NewShare a link for looking, not editing. A link can now be view only: people can open the file, read it and comment on it, but nothing can be changed. Choose it in the share sheet.
  • NewA shared link now just opens. Anyone you send one to can look at the file and edit it without making an account first; signing in is there when they want files of their own.
  • ImprovedPeople who arrive through a link are shown as guests, so you can always tell who has an account and who typed a name.
  • NewInstall the canvas as an app. It opens in its own window with no browser chrome, gets an icon on your dock or home screen, and already worked offline. On a tablet, add it from the browser’s share menu; on a computer, Install as an app is in the main menu.
  • ImprovedPasting from Figma no longer leaves a layer full of gibberish on your canvas. Layers copied in Figma cannot be pasted here, so the canvas now says so. To bring a design over, open its .fig file on Home; Copy as SVG brings shapes only, not text, components or auto layout.
  • NewLayers snap into line. Drag one near another and it pulls flush with its edges or centre, with a line showing you why.
  • NewLaying out a row is easier: drag a card towards the others and the canvas offers the same gap they already use, so the rhythm stays even without measuring anything.
  • NewA snapped gap prefers your file’s own spacing tokens and tells you which one it used, so spacing stays part of your design system rather than a number you happened to land on.
  • NewHold Cmd while dragging to ignore snapping for that one move, or turn it off entirely with Shift+S and from the View menu.
  • FixedResting a palm on a tablet while dragging no longer undoes your previous piece of work, and no longer turns what you were doing into a zoom. Pinching now needs both fingers to actually move, so a palm sitting still is just a palm sitting still.
  • NewChoose your microphone. In Settings, or right from the call bar with the arrow beside Mute, and the canvas remembers your choice.
  • NewTest your microphone before a call. Press Test in Settings and the bars move if it is picking you up. Nothing is opened until you press it.
  • NewChoose which speaker voice plays through, where the browser allows it.
  • ImprovedA microphone that is unplugged or stops working mid-call is swapped for the next one, and you are told which one you are on now, rather than being dropped from voice.
  • FixedA brief network drop no longer leaves you in a call nobody can hear. Voice now tells the room you are still there when the connection comes back, instead of leaving everyone looking at a face that stopped talking.
  • FixedTalking while muted now shows: your own face changes colour and the call bar says so, rather than letting you finish a sentence nobody heard.
  • FixedHolding the push-to-talk key quickly no longer leaves the others seeing the wrong mute state.
  • FixedVoice that cannot connect now gives up and says so instead of leaving you on a spinner, and being out of minutes or in a full room says exactly that.
  • ImprovedOne call at a time across your open projects: joining voice in a second project tells you where you already are rather than opening a second microphone.
  • ImprovedWith push to talk on, the microphone button now turns it off and opens your microphone, instead of being unusable mid-call.
  • ImprovedA call you are being offered can be answered from the keyboard, and Escape declines it.
  • NewVoice has its own page in Settings, with a Permissions block at the top. It tells you whether your browser is letting the canvas use your microphone and show notifications, and gives you both without waiting for a call to go wrong.
  • NewA call now reaches your desktop when the canvas is behind another app, so you can hear someone out without keeping the window in front. The canvas asks once, the first time you use voice, and you can turn it off in Settings.
  • NewA call you miss waits for you. If nobody answers while you are away, the top bar keeps a quiet note of who called until you dismiss it, rather than a message that disappears before you come back.
  • ImprovedThe voice controls are now one small bar with a level meter that moves only when someone is talking.
  • NewMute yourself with one press, and see at a glance who else is muted.
  • NewPush to talk, if you would rather your microphone opened only while you hold a key. Turn it on in Settings and choose the key.
  • NewThree hours of voice a day each, and you leave voice automatically if you leave the tab in the background for ten minutes.
  • NewVersion history. Your file quietly keeps a snapshot every ten minutes while you work, so there is always something to go back to. Open it from the file menu.
  • NewSave a version whenever a file is at a point worth keeping, and give it a name. Named versions are never tidied away, however old they get.
  • NewPicking a version shows it beside your file as it is now, both drawn for real, so you can see what changed before you decide.
  • NewRestore puts your file back to that version in one step, and one undo brings back everything you had. You can also restore a version as a separate copy on Home, leaving the file you are in untouched.
  • NewVersions: snapshots of your file you can go back to, even with no connection. Deleting a file takes its history with it.

The agent designs with you

Ask for a screen or a change and watch it work, with the coach checking every step.

  • NewThe agent is live. Describe a screen or a change in the Agent tab and it designs it in your file: it reads the frame first, writes real layers, and the coach checks everything it draws. If it introduces a problem, it fixes it before handing the screen back.
  • ImprovedIts answers now read like notes from a designer: short bullets, the numbers behind a decision, and links to the uxspot.io page for any principle it followed.
  • FixedThe conversation follows along again when an answer arrives all at once, so you no longer have to scroll down to find it.
  • FixedThe agent now notices when something it moved hangs off the edge of the screen, and puts it back before handing the screen to you.
  • ImprovedYour daily agent allowance goes further, and it is charged fairly: you are no longer billed for warming up the shared setup the agent uses for everyone.
  • ImprovedA turn you stop, or one that fails, costs you nothing: the agent only counts work it actually finished and handed to you.
  • NewThe Agent tab tells you what is left of your day once you are near the end, so running out is never a surprise.
  • NewYour conversation with the agent stays put when you reload or come back to a file later, so the reasons behind a screen are still there with it.
  • FixedWhen the coach says two buttons compete and you rearrange them, it now recognises that as your attempt: "Show me a better version" unlocks instead of asking you to try again.
  • NewAsking the agent to fix a screen, or to show you a better version, now asks you to confirm first and tells you what is left of your day, so work never starts by surprise. Fix my design asks right on its own button, without covering your screen.
  • NewThe agent now shows what your message carries from the canvas: the layer you picked appears above the box, and you can drop it if the question is not about it.
  • ImprovedYour allowance now reads in credits instead of amounts of money, in the panel and in Settings, so it is clear what you have rather than what anything costs.
  • NewSelect anything on the canvas and a sparkle appears at its corner: ask for changes right there, and the agent picks it up with that layer in hand.
  • ImprovedThe layers list now follows the canvas: picking a layer opens the groups above it and scrolls its row into view, so you never lose your place in a long file.
  • NewSelect a picture and ask about it: the agent now sees the image itself, so you can ask what is in a screenshot or how to redraw it.
  • ImprovedClicking on the canvas now selects what you mean: a click selects the whole group or card, double-click goes inside it, and ⌘-click grabs the exact layer under your pointer.
  • ImprovedThe agent now works in your design tokens: it reads the ones your file has, uses them instead of loose colour values, and can add one when a value belongs to your system. Change a token and its work follows.
  • ImprovedThe agent can look the guidelines up before it designs, and quotes the definition you would read on the site rather than its own words.
  • NewAsk the agent for another width and it makes a linked copy of your screen, so edits to the original still flow into it.
  • NewThe agent can add a page to your file when a piece of work belongs on its own surface.
  • NewVariants: select your components, choose Combine as variants, name their properties right in the layers list ("State=Hover"), and switch an instance between them from the panel. What you typed or restyled on that instance comes with it.
  • ImprovedThe agent knows your components and variants: it reuses what you have built instead of drawing it again, and can switch an instance to the variant you ask for.
  • NewComponent properties: give a component a switch ("Show icon") or a piece of text ("Label"), and every instance can set it without becoming its own component.
  • NewSay what a component is for, and anyone using an instance of it sees that note in the panel.
  • ImprovedA variant set now looks like one: a dashed outline round your variants with a count underneath, and a + to add another.
  • NewGenerate states: select a button and the canvas works out its hover, pressed, focus and disabled look from the fill you chose, and builds the five of them as a linked set ready to place. It uses none of your agent allowance.
  • ImprovedEvery generated state is checked against the words on the button and adjusted until they stay readable, so nothing you place this way can fail the coach on contrast.
  • ImprovedStates now ease instead of snapping, in Preview and in what you export, where they come out as real hover, pressed and focus rules.
  • NewGenerate a type scale: give it a body size and a ratio and the canvas works out eight sizes, from caption to display, with the line spacing already lined up to the grid. It writes them as tokens and draws the specimen on your canvas, and uses none of your agent allowance.
  • NewGenerate a colour ramp: one colour in, eleven shades out, each labelled with the text that can sit on it and which ones are for surfaces rather than paragraphs. Your colour is kept exactly as you typed it.
  • ImprovedGenerate states now knows what it is looking at: a field gets its border states, a checkbox gets checked and unchecked, a switch gets on and off. Each one comes with a focus state and a disabled state.
  • ImprovedLayout grid moved to the bottom of the right panel, just above Export, where you expect to find it. Columns, rows and a square grid, same as before, with shift G to show and hide them.
  • ImprovedHome now shows one card at a time with dots to page between them, instead of stacking them down the sidebar. It never moves on its own.
  • NewGenerate a dark version of any screen. Right-click and pick Generate: the canvas works out the dark palette, keeps your brand colours recognisable, and checks that every piece of text still reads. Your original stays exactly as it was, and it works the other way round too if you design dark first.
  • NewGenerate the loading state of a screen. Text becomes bars on the lines it will fill, pictures and buttons become their own shapes, and the layout stays put, so the skeleton matches what loads into it.
  • NewGenerate accessibility notes over a copy of your screen: the order things are reached by keyboard, whether each tap target is big enough, your heading levels, and the measured contrast of every piece of text. It is the page you hand to a developer.
  • NewSave a local copy of any canvas, from the File menu or with shift cmd S. You get a .uxc file on your own disk that you can back up, email or keep alongside the project.
  • NewOpen a file you saved: from the File menu, the Open a file button on Home, or by dragging it onto Home. It always opens as a new file, so it can never overwrite what you are working on.
  • ImprovedFiles with pictures in them are much lighter. Images are now kept alongside your file instead of inside it, so saving is quicker, duplicating a file no longer copies every picture, and the same image used twice is only stored once.
  • ImprovedThe canvas opens faster on first visit: about 20% less to download before Home appears.

Big files move faster

Dragging and typing on a crowded page are several times quicker.

  • ImprovedDragging a layer on a page with thousands of layers is four times smoother, and typing responds faster too.
  • ImprovedThe coach no longer freezes a big page for a second or two when you pause, and exporting a large page as code is now close to instant.
  • ImprovedLive Checks now keep working on large pages: the Review tab still tells you when a check starts passing on a page with thousands of layers.
  • ImprovedOn slower computers and tablets, dragging on a big page stays smooth: the side panels catch up without holding back the layer under your pointer.
  • FixedOpening a very large shared file no longer freezes the tab: a file with tens of thousands of layers now opens in well under a second, where it could take more than a minute.
  • ImprovedPhotos you paste, drop or use as a fill are stored at a sensible size, so files with pictures stay light, save faster and share more easily. Icons, SVGs and GIFs are kept exactly as they are.
  • ImprovedDesigning with others stays smooth when several people move around the file at once: their cursors no longer slow down your canvas.
  • ImprovedWhen a teammate moves things around in a large shared file, your canvas keeps up several times better, and their edits reach everyone faster.
  • FixedDragging in the colour picker is now a single undo: one ⌘Z takes back the whole colour change, and your earlier history stays intact.
  • ImprovedHome opens without a stall when you have many or large files: previews fill in one by one, and files further down draw as you scroll to them.
  • ImprovedThe Review tab opens faster the first time: its animations now load only when they play.
  • ImprovedThe app opens faster: Home appears before the editor has downloaded, and the editor is fetched quietly in the background so your files still open straight away.
  • ImprovedThe canvas works offline from your first visit: Home, your files, the editor, Review and the default font are all there without a connection.
  • ImprovedThe default font, Inter, now comes from uxdeck itself instead of Google, so opening the canvas no longer contacts Google and text appears sooner.
  • ImprovedPreview no longer keeps working while you sit and look at it, so a design with a lot of motion is easier on a laptop or tablet battery.
  • FixedThe agent can build big screens without the tab running out of memory, and it builds them faster.
  • ImprovedShared files open and respond quicker: joining a large file, uploading an image or moving your cursor no longer waits for the whole file to be read.
  • ImprovedYour own edits are confirmed without being sent back to you, so pasting or generating a lot of layers uses far less of your connection.
  • ImprovedHome opens straight away however big your files are: each card now shows a picture of the file, taken as you work, instead of drawing the whole design again.
  • ImprovedA dropped connection picks up where it left off: coming back takes only the changes you missed instead of downloading the file again, which matters on a slow or patchy connection.
  • ImprovedPhotos placed in older files are tidied up the first time you open them, so those files take less space and save faster. Your layers keep their size and look the same.

Ask for what the canvas is missing, and practise on Home

Request a feature in your own words, and take a practice brief when you want one.

  • ImprovedTyping in a big file is no longer sluggish: on a crowded page a keystroke used to take most of a second to appear, and now it is immediate.
  • ImprovedPanning and zooming a crowded page is smooth again, and the layers list only draws the rows you can see, so a file with thousands of layers opens and scrolls like a small one.
  • ImprovedThe coach, the checklist and the screen-edge warning now share one reading of your page instead of each taking their own, so edits land faster on large files.
  • ImprovedDesigning with the agent is much quicker on long builds: it no longer re-checks the whole page after every batch of changes.
  • NewUse the fonts installed on your own computer: open the Fonts picker and choose “Use the fonts on this computer”. They are searchable alongside the web fonts and marked so you know which is which. Chrome and Edge only, and the picker says what a local font means for anyone else opening your file.
  • NewInstall a font while the canvas is open and it says so when you come back, by name.
  • ImprovedThe audit groups repeats: one rule with twenty examples reads as one finding, not twenty.
  • ImprovedThe audit that ships with an export now looks like uxdeck: paper and ink in light and dark, the violet accent, findings split into what was measured and what is a judgement call, and a line saying where it came from.
  • NewA prototype exports as a site: every screen becomes its own page, and a link between frames becomes a link between those pages, so it clicks through like a real product.
  • ImprovedScrollwork now ships as js/scrollwork.js in the export, shared by every screen, with each screen carrying only its own motion.
  • NewDownload the site: a folder you can host, with every page as a real document, images and fonts beside them, and audit.html listing what the coach measured, each line citing its source. No build step, nothing fetched from anywhere else.
  • FixedThe export now matches the canvas layer for layer: every layer on a real page lands within a pixel and a half of where it was designed. Layers in auto layout keep the size you gave them instead of being squeezed, and an auto layout box with no height hugs its content, as it does when you add auto layout by hand.
  • FixedAn auto layout box with no height set now grows with what is inside it instead of squeezing it, on the canvas and in the export. Long headings no longer print over the paragraph beneath them.
  • NewExport as a picture: PNG at 1×, 2× or 3×, or SVG. Export what you have selected, or the whole page when nothing is, from the Export menu, the right-click menu or Settings. The menu says which it will be.
  • ImprovedThe panels are simpler: the left rail is File, Assets and Agent, and the right rail is Design, Prototype and Review. Review holds Findings, Checklist and Reading together, so the page a finding cites now opens right under it.
  • ImprovedInside Review, Findings, Checklist and Reading read as parts of that tab rather than a second row of tabs.
  • ImprovedReading an article widens the panel while you read, and gives the width back when you leave.
  • NewAssets, in the left rail: every component in the file, with search. Name one Button / Primary and it files itself under a Button folder. Double-click a row to find it on the canvas, or press + to drop an instance beside it.
  • NewSwap an instance for another component in the same folder, straight from the panel.
  • NewComponents: make any layer a component (⌥⌘K), add instances, and every change to the component reaches them. Anything you change on an instance stays on that instance, with Reset and Detach in the panel.
  • NewA screen tells you when something hangs off its edge: a red count on its title bar, and clicking it selects what escaped.
  • NewStretch, in auto layout: every child fills the cross axis, so cards in a row share a height.
  • ImprovedAgents can now paint gradients and shadows, and hide a layer, which was only possible by hand before.
  • ImprovedThe layers list shows the name you gave a text layer instead of its first words, so three screens of the same design no longer read the same.
  • NewA new breakpoint now fits itself to its width: rows that no longer fit narrow or stack, padding comes in, headlines scale down, and nothing hangs off the edge. Body text is left alone, and Reset still puts any of it back.
  • NewFit to this width, in a screen’s + menu, redoes that fit whenever you want it.
  • FixedColours an agent gives to a section now show on the canvas. Before, a page designed by Claude Code or Cursor could come out white, with the colours stored but never painted.
  • ImprovedThe coach remembers when you want it to speak: choose Hybrid or On ask once and it stays that way, in every file, after a reload.
  • NewSettings, Preferences now has a Coach section with the same choice, and a way to let muted rules speak again.
  • ImprovedPractice briefs moved to Home: a Practice card offers them, and taking one opens a new file with the brief attached, ready to grade in the Coach tab.
  • ImprovedA new file no longer opens with a question. The canvas is just there, and the coach still reads over your shoulder.
  • ImprovedA brief now belongs to its file, so it is still there after a reload.
  • NewRequest a feature sits in Home’s sidebar under Changelog: write what you wish the canvas could do, leave your email if you want a reply, and it comes straight to us. No account needed.
  • NewWhat ships from a request shows up here, in What’s new.

Present in a real device

Present shows each screen in a browser window, a phone or a tablet, on a black background.

  • NewDesktop screens present in a browser window, and phone and tablet screens in the device their size matches: iPhone, iPhone SE, Android or iPad.
  • NewChoose the mockup for a page, or none, and the colour behind it, in the Design panel with nothing selected.
  • ImprovedPresent now shows on black, and the device scales to fit your window.

Design that speaks code

Name things the designer’s way or the developer’s, see the code as you design, and ship pages that are accessible, tokenised and responsive.

  • NewDesigner or Developer names: the panels can say Flexbox, gap and overflow: clip, and Designer names show the CSS when you hover a section.
  • NewA Code section shows the CSS, HTML or Tailwind of what you select, live as you design, and right-click copies a layer as CSS.
  • NewAccessibility for every layer: make a text a heading, a group a navigation or a list, a button a link, and give images alt text or mark them decorative.
  • NewAdvice on headings, missing names and links, and the Checklist tab now reads your headings and your buttons’ names.
  • NewTokens: name your colours, spacing, radii and font sizes, bind layers to them, and change a token to update every layer that uses it.
  • NewExports write tokens as CSS variables, in HTML and in Tailwind.
  • NewResponsive breakpoints stay linked: edits on the main frame flow to Tablet or Phone unless you change them there, with Reset and Unlink.
  • NewA page with breakpoints exports as one responsive page, and Preview switches between its sizes.
  • NewScrollwork on its own: download the motion engine from Settings and use it on any website.
  • ImprovedThe coach’s spacing scale accepts the spacing tokens you define.
  • FixedEdits made just before reloading or closing the page are no longer lost.
  • FixedWidth and height fields no longer overlap on a narrow panel.

Motion, by Scrollwork

Make text appear, images drift, sections hold and buttons respond, all from the Prototype tab, played by Scrollwork in Preview and your export.

  • NewScrollwork, the canvas’s own motion engine, plays everything below in Preview and in your export.
  • NewGive any layer an entrance as it scrolls into view, with fade, slide, mask, blur, scale or your own starting point.
  • NewText can appear line by line, word by word or letter by letter.
  • NewParallax and scroll effects: layers drift, zoom, fade, blur or rotate as the page scrolls.
  • NewPin a section so it holds its place while the page scrolls, and play other layers across the hold.
  • NewTimelines with steps: a layer can pass through several states as it appears or as the page scrolls.
  • NewInteractions: add a row, pick a trigger (click, hover or press) and an action (navigate, change, back, scroll to or open a link).
  • NewEach interaction can wait, animate or happen instantly, with ready-made curves or your own, drawn and previewed as you shape it.
  • NewHover and press motion: layers lift on hover, sink when pressed or flip between two states, with the keyboard too.
  • NewThe agent can add and change motion for you.
  • NewSmooth scrolling for a whole frame.
  • NewOne handle for every connection: drag it onto another frame to go there on click, or onto a layer to start motion when that layer comes into view.
  • ImprovedLinks and motion live together in the Prototype tab, and links between frames are drawn on the canvas.
  • NewA scroll bar beside the frame shows your design at any scroll position, right on the canvas.
  • NewPreview plays your motion on a real screen height, with Replay and a Reduce motion switch.
  • NewHTML and Tailwind exports include the motion, with no extra library, and respect reduced motion.
  • NewAdvice under the controls when motion may slow reading or cause discomfort.
  • ImprovedThe Preview bar stays on one line and never covers the screen.

A familiar editor, from top to bottom

  • NewWhat’s new and a full changelog, at the bottom of Home.
  • ImprovedA lighter floating toolbar: Move, Hand, the Coach, Fix my design, Comment, the theme, zoom and Upgrade. Shapes and drawing tools now live in the top bar’s Insert menu, and every shortcut still works.
  • NewFix my design, on the toolbar: the agent fixes what the coach found on your screen.

  • FixedThe Fonts search field and the plans on tablets display at full size.
  • FixedMoving quickly between fields in the Design panel no longer stops your changes from saving.

Safer sharing and steadier teamwork

A thorough review of sharing, the agent and the editor, with every issue it found fixed.

  • ImprovedEdits made just before switching tabs, reloading or going offline are no longer lost.
  • ImprovedVery large files share smoothly, and a change too big to share tells you why.
  • ImprovedUndo only takes back your own changes, never a collaborator’s.
  • ImprovedA better version from the agent can be stopped, waits while you look at another page, and keeps your prototype links working.
  • ImprovedStart a comment from the keyboard, and typed comments are never thrown away without asking.
  • ImprovedDialogs close one at a time with Escape and return you to where you were.
  • FixedImages pasted as SVG or BMP now show for everyone in a shared file.
  • FixedA file closed and reopened in the same session saves its changes again.
  • FixedA broken link no longer leaves the app blank.

Design with the agent

Describe a screen or a change and the agent builds it on your canvas, checked by the coach.

  • NewAn Agent tab in the sidebar: ask for a screen or a change and watch it appear on your canvas.
  • NewShow me a better version: for a coach finding, the agent builds an improved copy of your screen next to it, with the guideline behind it.
  • NewEvery change the agent makes is one undo step, and the coach checks it straight away.
  • ImprovedThe better version unlocks after you try a fix yourself, so you learn before you see the answer.

Design together

Share a file with a link, see each other live, and leave comments on the design.

  • NewShare a file with a link. Everyone with it designs in the same file, live.
  • NewSee who is here, where their cursor is and what they have selected.
  • NewComments pinned to layers, with replies, edits and resolve.
  • NewSign in with Google, GitHub or an email link.
  • NewTurn a link off or reset it at any time.

  • NewPaste or drop images straight onto the canvas.
  • NewItalic text, bulleted and numbered lists, and layout grids on frames.
  • ImprovedThe coach and Checks understand vectors, combined shapes, sticky notes and images.

  • NewHome lists your files with previews: open, rename, duplicate and archive them.
  • NewOpen several files at once in tabs.

  • NewA coach that notices contrast, tap targets, hierarchy and more as you design, one tip at a time.
  • NewChoose how chatty the coach is, dismiss tips, or ask how you are doing.
