A second pair of eyes on every screen A coach that measures, an agent that builds.

The coach reads the screen you are working on and points out what is measurably off, with the number, the reason and a link to the thinking behind it. The agent works in the same file, from a sentence, and the coach checks its work the way it checks yours.

It measures, then explains

Drag the label’s colour. The page measures it as the coach does, says what is wrong in the coach’s words, and Apply fix moves it to the nearest colour that passes.

Text contrast

#C1C1C1 on #FFFFFF, 1.80:1, under the 4.5:1 minimum.

“Arrives Thursday, 16 June” is set at 16px. Someone reading this on a phone outdoors, or anyone with reduced contrast sensitivity, will lose the line entirely.

Darken it to #767676 (4.54:1).

The same measure the coach uses for Text contrast. In uxdeck it reads every text on the screen, and 15 more rules.

What it measures

Twelve rules computed from the layers themselves, on Free and Pro. Six of them fix in one click.

  1. 01

    Text contrast

4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text. One-click fix: the nearest colour that passes.

  2. 02

    Tap targets

Buttons and links under 44 × 44. One-click fix: at least 44 each way.

  3. 03

    Control edges

A button or field edge under 3:1 against the page. One-click fix when it has a border.

  4. 04

    Text size

    Sentences under 14px. One-click fix: 14px.

  5. 05

    Line height

Lines tighter than 1.4 × the size. One-click fix: 1.5 × the size.

  6. 06

    Spacing scale

Auto layout gaps and padding off a 4px step or your spacing variables. One-click fix: the nearest step.

  7. 07

    Line length

More than 75 characters a line. It suggests a width.

  8. 08

    Typefaces

More than two families on one screen.

  9. 09

    Image descriptions

Pictures with no alt text that are not marked decorative.

  10. 10

    Control names

Layers you can click with nothing a screen reader can say.

  11. 11

    Single-key shortcuts

A key trigger on one character, which speech input sets off by accident.

  12. 12

    Page language

A file with no language, so its pages cannot tell a screen reader how to pronounce them.

What it spots

Four judgement rules on Pro: patterns rather than measurements, so they wait until you ask.

  1. 01

    Type scale

More than four text sizes on one screen.

  2. 02

    Button hierarchy

Two buttons side by side that look equally important, so neither reads as the main one.

  3. 03

    Empty states

A list, feed or inbox with nothing designed for when it is empty.

  4. 04

    Affordance

Words that ask to be clicked, Sign up, Continue, Learn more, with nothing that makes them look clickable.

It knows when to be quiet

Choose Hybrid, where measurable findings surface on their own when you pause, or On ask, where nothing does until you press How am I doing.

Dismiss a finding and it stays away on that layer; set it aside for a minute; or mute a rule in the file, for everyone in it.

On Pro, Fix all applies every one-click fix on a screen, and five checklists walk through 214 items, measured where a rule can measure.

Seen in a file

Recordings of the coach and the agent at work.

An agent the coach keeps honest

Describe a screen on Home or in the Agent tab and the agent draws it in your file: frames, auto layout and text you can edit, from your components and variables. Each step is one undo.

The coach reads the agent’s work the way it reads yours, and the agent checks its own draft against the coach before it hands the screen back, fixing what it finds.

Credits that last

The agent reads only the part of the file it works on, never the whole file, and reuses what it has already read from one step to the next, so a follow-up costs less than the first ask.

Before a big change, such as Fix my design, it tells you what it will do and what is left of today’s credits.
