Quick actions is one search field for the whole editor. Type a few letters and it finds any command from the menus, any layer or page in the file by name, and the components on the page. Whatever you type, it also offers to pass it to the agent.
It is the fastest way to reach something when you don’t remember where it lives, and it shows the command’s shortcut beside it, so you learn the keys as you go.
Open it
- Press ⌘K (CtrlK on Windows).
- Or press Quick actions in the floating toolbar at the bottom of the canvas.
Move through the results with ↑ and ↓, run one with ↩, and press Esc to close without running anything.
What it suggests before you type
Opened empty, Quick actions looks at what you selected and suggests what people usually want for it, under a heading such as For this frame, For this text or For 3 layers. With nothing selected, the heading is Suggested. Below that, Recent lists what you last ran from here.
Some examples of what it offers:
- A frame: Preview, Add auto layout, Fix this screen with the agent, breakpoints it does not have yet, Make component, and copying it as code.
- An image: Crop image, Adjust image, Vectorize, Replace image…, and how it fills its layer (Image: Fill the frame, Image: Fit inside, Image: Tile).
- A text layer: Edit text, Rewrite with the agent, a change of case, and Width: hug the text.
- A component: Add an instance, or Add a variant on a variant set.
- An instance: Go to main component, Reset all changes and Detach instance.
- Several layers: Wrap in a frame, Add auto layout, Use as mask, Tidy up, Distribute horizontally and Distribute vertically (three layers or more), Align left and Align top.
Search
As you type, the results fall into groups:
| Group | What it holds | What choosing one does |
|---|---|---|
| Actions | Every command in the menus, with the menu it lives in and its shortcut | Runs it |
| Components | Components on this page | Adds an instance |
| Layers | Layers on this page whose name matches | Selects the layer and zooms to it |
| Pages | Pages whose name matches (when the file has more than one) | Opens the page |
| Agent | Ask the agent: followed by what you typed | Sends it to the agent |
Because Quick actions reads the menus as they are, a toggle such as Rulers shows a tick when it is on. Up to eight actions, five components, six layers and three pages are shown, so type a little more if what you want is missing.
Find a component
Press ⇧I to open Quick actions on its Components tab, or switch between All and Components at the top. Components are grouped by their folders, with the ones you placed recently first.
- ↩ adds an instance in the middle of your view, or inside the frame you have selected.
- ⌥↩ swaps the instances you have selected to that component instead.

Catches
- Asking the agent costs credits. A question sent from here opens the Agent tab and uses agent credits like any other.
- Suggestions skip Copy, Cut and Paste. You already know their keys, so they are never suggested, though you can still search for them.
- Layers and components come from the page you are on. To find something on another page, go to that page first.
